• In June 2009, the Michigan Civil Rights Commission ordered a review of the conditions of migrant and seasonal farmworkers in Michigan.
• In the following months, Commissioners and staff visited some 20-25 migrant camps, conducted seven public hearings, and collected well over a hundred testimonies.
