Landscape photography will be

demonstrated with different examples

using techniques I have been using for

a number of years. Use of polarizers/

split neutral density filters/tripods and

the dreaded post production work

needed to make things look real/better/

exaggerated as the image requires.

About me: Former altar boy…former

carnie…nuff said…all of your doubts and

questions about me are now confirmed.

Serious now…..I joined the Metro

Camera Club March of 1982 in response

to an ad for shooting models at Will

Rogers Park …in the month of

February…yes outdoors…the Program

Chairman was not asked to re-up the

next year..but there was quite a crowd.

I have held the position of President at

one time (very early on…I was strong

armed at the time…that technique has

not changed), served as competition

chairman for a number of years before

it came to computers and all the new

technology needing many more people

just to run (we need to openly

appreciate the job Lynn Nunn and Janet

done…. providing a robust and

enjoyable competition experience for

a number of years).

Presently I am employed by MCC as

the “Critique Master”….a title I did

not approve by the way….you will

find that I am just as stern with my

own images as I am with some of

yours. Photo that score 15's are

indeed rare and when you see one,

you know it!!!

I will strive to continue to improve

on my photography by learning from

others from the club. We are blessed

with an abundance of talent…a talent

we all need to share.

I hope to see a good crowd as usual,

thanks for asking me to participate

in a Metro Camera Club program.

Have you been hesitant to join in the Metro Camera Club competitions? If you have been intimidated by the entries in the competitions, remember, everyone has to start someplace. Here is a chance to receive a non-judgmental critique of you images. Members of the METRO CAMERA CLUB may submit images to be reviewed and critiqued by more advanced members of the club. Please size the images as you normally would for competition (1920 pixels on the longest side of the image) and submit them as an attachment to this e-mail address: [email protected]. All images should be submitted as "JPG" files.
