As the Lord spoke to me, the spirit entered me and set me
on my feet, and I heard the one who was speaking say to
me, ‘Son of man, I am sending you…’ (Ezekiel 2:2�3)�
God asks each of us to do some special work for Him. He
gives us the resources we need to do His work. However, do
we listen to God when He calls? Do we get up on our feet
and give our talent to do the work He asks of us?
Remember, God does not call the equipped, he equips all of
those that he calls.�

WEEKLY STEWARDSHIP REPORT�
There are various jobs openings in our Preschool for the
2018�19 school year. To work in our Early Childhood
Education Program (ECEP Preschool), a person must
have a High School Diploma, must hold and maintain
current CPR and First Aid certifications, must be able to
lift and carry 40 pounds and must complete 24 hours of
pre�service training. An Early Childhood background /
education is preferred but not required. To apply, please

The most important lesson I have learned through service at Emmaus is the value of
community. When I first came to Emmaus, I did not know anyone or have friends here.
Through Mass, Outcry, Trinity Thursday, retreats, and other events, I now truly feel like a
member of the Emmaus family. Serving as a small group leader has provided me the
opportunity to pass on the gift of faith that has been fostered in me by my parents, priests,
friends, teachers, and mentors. I have received much joy in sharing my experience at Outcry,
The Diocesan Catholic Youth Conference (DCYC), and Steubenville with my younger peers.
I can only hope that they engage in the remarkable community at Emmaus, and receive the
love I have been given here. The family�like feel has been cultivated through hugs at Mass,
conversations in the narthex, and laughs during Sunday dinners. God has given me several of
my closest friendships through Emmaus. I have felt a glimpse of being part of the Body of
Christ. Moreover, I have experienced a deep need for my brothers and sisters in my walk of
faith; it is impossible to be Christian alone. By giving my time, heart, and skills to Emmaus, I
have received the beautiful gift of close relationships. �
