Case for change

patients• Opportunity for CCG to support the delivery of
the 3 strategic priorities
Early thoughts so far• Standardise range of services offered by GP Practices
in CCG – include phlebotomy• Develop local Borderline and Peterborough solutionsa) Each practice to deliver phlebotomy for own patientsb) Cluster model – larger practices provide services to
own and other patients on behalf of another surgeryc) Employ roving phlebotomist and base within primary
care d) Offer Phlebotomy out to Pharmacies or other
providers (Any qualified Provider)• Tender the service via open procurement
What are your thoughts?• What is important to you? • How highly do you rate -a) Short waiting times?b)Flexible operating timesc) Easy access?d)Close to home?e)Travelling/parking costs?f) Expertise of staffg) Cleanliness of facilities
