The Phenomenal Times NOVEMBER 2014 Psi Zeta Chapter Introduces Fall 2014 Inductee Story & Photo | Kali Rogers-Smith Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. - Psi Zeta Chapter held a new member induction ceremony and reception on Saturday, No- vember 1st, 2014. Members of the chapter were present for welcoming new Soror Alycia Mitchell to our phenomenal sisterhood during an induction ceremony. e chapter introduced its first intake line since the spring of 2012. Chaplain Michon Jordan was acknowledged as Soror Mitch- ell’s big sister and gave her alias and line name “Blu Song- stress.” She also gave the name for the intake line, entitled “Blu Serenade.” Soror Alycia Mitchell was steadfast in her efforts of becoming a woman of Zeta. Soror Axie Smith McDaniel, the chatper’s 1st Anti-Basileus and the coordinator for this year’s intake class, praised her throughout the reception. She was proud of Alycia for attending many of the events hosted by the chapter over the past year. She also remarked how Alycia was receptive to many of the questions asked by Soror McDaniel herself. Following the ceremony, chapter sorors gave advice, encouraging messages, and gifts for Soror Mitchell during a reception. Soror Mitchell’s mother and husband, Sigma Frater Bryan Mitchell, joined in on the festivities. Soror Mitchell expressed excitement upon being fully inducted as a member of the sorority. She was indubitaly proud to become a member of the sorority as she expressed her interest to reamin committed to serve the Fort Worth community during the reception. Zeta Amicae of Fort Worth Celebrate 40 Years of Service & Friendship

The Zeta Amicae Auxiliary of Fort Worth, TX celebrated a mileston amongst the company of family and friends during an anniversary luncheon at the Radisson Hotel in North Fort Worth. The Amicae as well as the Psi Zeta Chapter recognized the auxiliary’s 40 years of service during the event on November 8th, 2014. The luncheon’s keynote speaker was Soror Kay Jones Rosebure, the Regional Director of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority,

Inc. - Southern Region. As a token of Psi Zeta’s appreciation, the chapter donated gifts including a banner for the Amicae. Psi Zeta wishes our local Amicae auxiliary many more years of service and friendship to the Fort

Worth area to come.

Coats For Kids Project• Psi Zeta will join the brothers of Phi Beta

Sigma Fraternity, Inc. - Alpha Theta Sigma Chapter in their annual Coat For Kids Proj-ect. We are distributing on November 18th at 2pm at Christene C Moss Elementary (4108 Eastland Dr, Fort Worth).

The Psi Zeta Chapter launched the annual Back To School Drive campaign to help do-nate school supplies to both Sunrise McMillian Elementary and Chris-tene Moss Elementary in Fort Worth, TX in August of 2014. Since then, the chapter has donated over 200 school

supplies to both schools. This includes, but isn’t limited to, notebooks, uniforms, art supplies, erasers, hand sanitizers, and more. The chapter will continue to collect school supplies

for this month as well as in December. Psi Zeta is thankful for those who were able to contribute to this campaign. The ladies of the Psi Zeta Chapter are dedicated to helping both elementary schools grow for many years to come.
