Summary
Dr. Ghanim Kashwani, UAE National, who got his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, UK, is the first Emirati to become Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) (MICE) from Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), UK. Additionally, Kashwani is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) (MSSE) and a Chartered Manager (CMgr) (MCMI), where he received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from American University of Sharjah (AUS). Kashwani has an industrial experience with major companies as he works as Team leader in Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for several years. Moreover, as Chartered Scientist (CSci) and GradI-OSH member, UK, Kashwani works as academic in international universities such as New York University (NYU) and Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He publishes many papers in international journals in which his research interests include construction materials, safety engineering, and fire engineering. In 2019, Kashwani was inducted to the Wall of Fame of American University of Sharjah (AUS) Alumni. Dr Kashwani was appointed as the first president in Council of Young Arab Researchers in 2021.
