phases of the moon
TRANSCRIPT
Here are the 4 phases the moon goes through… the new moon, the full moon the first quarter, & the last quarter.
Most of you would probably say “What is the Lunar month?” Well the Lunar month is the month that the moon goes through all of its phases.
When the moon is between the sun and earth, we cannot see it. The side of the moon that is sunlit is facing away from us. The dark side is facing toward us. This phase is called the new moon phase.
When the moon looks it’s half lighted, it is called the first quarter.
When the Lunar Month goes on, the moon continues on it’s own path. After that, the moon comes to a point where the earth is between the moon and the sun. Now the side that is sunlit is facing us. This phase is called the full moon.
