“Doctor Shopping”

In a span of 7 months in 2006, a 24 year old female

received prescriptions from 27 doctors, using 11 pharmacies.

After being caught, she continued in 2009 with 15 doctors

and 4 pharmacies.

Between 2004 & 2005, a man and woman working together

saw 22 different doctors, as many as 7 in an 12 day period.

An alert pharmacist in Milwaukee broke up a large drug ring after receiving an

unusually high number of prescriptions. The ring was recruiting people

to fake injuries to get Oxycodone and resold the medication

in 17 southeastern WI communities.

A female sold to an undercover agent after she brought him along to her doctor appointment and then to the

pharmacy.
