combined have a installation capacity of 420 lac Tablets, 1 Million Vials, 3 Million Capsules,

& 5 lac Liquid Oral Bottles per month.

With a total Plot size of factory spread over an area of 26,000 Sq mts, the old Facility at

Otthappatti is having carpet area of 2500 sq.mt and houses Cephalosporin group of drugs in

Tablets, capsule and Dry syrup forms etc. Other than this, the brand new facility is at

Vilathur have a carpet area of 5000 sq.mt in a wide green environment. This facility is

created to comply with higher standards of quality certification like UK – MHRA ,

NAFDAC etc where the manufacturing sections are Tablets & Small Volume Parenterals.

The Parenteral Section has capacity of 9 Million Multi Dose Vials and 30 million Single dose

ampoules per annum on a single shift basis. Further, the new facility houses R & D dept that

allow us to develop new formulations, uplift stability of existing formulations as well as

develop Novel Drug Delivery Systems. We also offer free sampling facility as demanded by

our customers.

30 Years Review

PHARMAFABRIKON was founded in 1982, by a group of pharmacy graduates in a rented

premise, with very few products on Loan Licence. Soon in 1984 own manufacturing facility

was put up for the manufacturing of Oral Liquids & capsules. In 1988, the factory moved to

a new premises built exclusively for the purpose, located at otthappatti, Karuppayuarni Post

Madurai 625 020. In 1991 Tablets and Small Volume Parenterals manufacturing was added

in the same premises. In the year of 2006, a new location for the Expansion and

implementation of cGMP in Oral solid dosage forms and small volume parenterals was

identified. The Designing of Plant and lay outs were chalked out. In 2007 January the civil

constructions were started. In 2010, a well built manufacturing unit comply the aspects of

cGMP was commissioned. The new unit obtained all statutory certifications for proper

functioning of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing activity. PHARMAFABRIKON obtained

the WHO GMP certification in June 2010, for certain Tablet formulations meant for Export.

The unit employees approximately 200 persons, including technical, skilled, unskilled and

administrative staffs.
