Over 100 different Masters and PhDprogrammes can be studied at one of Britains
leading providers of postgraduate education.
On the eveningPlease register on arrival in the venue. If you book in advance, you
will receive an email with a fast track number. Please bring a print
out of the email with you, as this will make registration quicker.
Representatives from different subject areas will be available
throughout the evening to discuss your options as a
postgraduate at Leicester.
Current postgraduate students will also be available to chat to
you about their experiences.
Welcome TalksThree welcome talks, given by Professor Elizabeth Murphy,
Head of the College of Social Science, will take place at:

Library ToursTake a look around the state-of-the-art facilities in our award
winning David Wilson Library. Tours of the building will take placeat: 5.00pm 6.00pm
RefreshmentsTea and coffee will be available. A variety of food and drink can
also be found at:
The Library Caf open until 10.00pm
Delicious, in the Charles Wilson Building open until 7.00pm
The O2 Academy Bar will be open for the duration of the event.

How to Find Us
By Train: If you are travelling to Leicester by train, the University is about a 15 to 20
minute walk from the Midland Mainline railway station. You may wish to catch a bus
from outside the station up to the University. Buses 48 and 80 will take you to the bus
stop by the main entrance to the University, Mayors Walk on University Road.
By Bus or Coach: If you arrive by bus or coach at St Margarets Bus Station, you can
take bus number 48 to the stop for the University at the bottom of Mayors Walk on
University Road. It will take approximately 40 minutes to walk up to the University from
the bus station. There is also a taxi rank at the bus station.
By Car: Parking is available on campus for disabled visitors only who hold a disabled parking
badge - you should report to entrance 1 of the Main Campus on arrival. We are unable to
provide parking for other visitors and we apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.
Public car parks: The nearest car park is the Victoria Park pay and display on the corner of
Granville Road and Regent Road near to the entrance to De Montfort Hall. There is also a
Euro car park on Almond Road, next to Morrisons supermarket, a short way downWelford Road towards the city centre from the University. It is a 10 minute walk to the
University from here. The nearest multi-storey car park is at the end of Regent Road, where
it joins Welford Road, near to the city centre. This is an NCP car park above the Bannatyne
Health Club. It is a 15 to 20 minute walk to the University from here.
