Welcome to our first Online newsletter. Due to Covid-19 we cannot open our class room yet.

However we have been working tirelessly on filming our classes and find new classes to teach

you this fall. We are happy to say that we have got it all worked out.

How the classes work now is, you still sign up and pay for your class, and on class day you will

receive two (sometimes 3) emails from us on the class write ups, the private YouTube video,

and on software classes any files you may need. Only customers that have registered for the

classes will be able to access the information. We have been testing this out with some of our

classes from the last newsletter and our software clubs. There was a lot to learn about how to

deliver this to our customers, and I am happy to say we are ready to launch our first newsletter

fully online!

The benefit of learning this way are very empowering. You can access the video whenever you

like. You can pause and rewind the videos endlessly. If you don’t live close to us, you can still

take our classes. And you can finish the projects at your speed. We hope you enjoy our

classes, and look forward to teaching you in our new world right now.

Classes:

Flower Dance This is a 6 part class that requires the Flower Dance collection

(available right now in our stores). In this class there is patch

working, machine embroidery appliqué, an option to us fabric cut-

ting machines (optional), and quilting by embroidery. In each

packet of the pattern you will receive instructions and designs you

need to do the quilt as will as instructions do other projects, such

as mug rugs, placemats, and more…..Cost $60 plus supplies.

Serger Sampler Pillow Make a pillow using fun; creative embellishing stitches from your Serger.

Learn the 3 thread Flatlock stitch, 3 thread over cast stitch, and 4 thread con-

struction stitch. You’ll be amazed at how fun and versatile your Serger is.

Class Fee $15 ( If you where registered last newsletter this is the new date.)

December 9th

Art of Free Motion Bring your machine (in good working order) to the video, and learn how to free motion on it.

You will study and learn several free motion patterns. And see how to brake down some of the

free motion patterns. We will have helpful templates and books for you to see. Perfect for all

level quilters. Cost $15 (This class has been lowered because no kit is included with fee.)


September 16th

Reusable Grocery Bag:

It is 2020 now, and the whole state is now going to no plastic bags. Paper bags are also 8₵

each. You can buy the reusable plastic like bags at the store, but they don’t wash very well.

This is a simple, partly lined, fully washable fabric grocery bag. It only takes 3 fat quarters, or

just use up old fabric that you don’t know what to do with. Fabric bags are much healthier for

us (because we can throw them in the washer for a proper washing). Class fee $10

Beginning Patchwork & Appliqué Learn the basics of patchwork. In this 5 week class you will learn basic

patchwork, Y seam construction, machine appliqué, and paper piecing. By

the end of class your skills will be at the intermediate to advance level. And

we have added a how to quilt the project. Class Fee $65


September 22nd, September 29th, October 6th, October 13th,

and October 20th

Madeline Wedding Ring Runner & Digitizing:

In this class we will be taking the Madeline Embroidery Collec-

tions by Inspira and create a new design element. You will learn

many editing functions of the Premier + (& +2) Ultra software.

You’ll also digitize all the quilting designs in the software. Then

we will take these designs and precise position you them to create

a runner for your table. This is an Intermediate / Advanced class.

Class Fee $45 plus supplies and design collection. (Picture showing quilt, in class we will do the runner)


November 4th, November 11th, and November 18th

Intermediate Sampler Ruler Quilt This class requires the Template Pillow class where you learn the ins and

outs of template work. In this intermediated class we will continue your

ruler educations to work with the Template Sampler Set by Westalee and

the Janet Collins Design book. We have modified the some of the designs

to teach you the flexibility of multiple quilting options with the Westalee

templates. Great stepping stone to further your techniques and prepare for

the advanced Quilt in a Bag class. Class Fee $30

December 3rd

Specialty Needles We are going to learn how to play with Twin Needles, Triple Needles, and Wing Needles mak-

ing a pretty pillow. You will see what stitches are appropriate and ones that aren’t. By using

these needles you can create fun new stitches $12


December 11th

Custom Quilting on Your Embroidery Machine: Amelie Scott who is the Edge to Edge Quilt designer has a new book for precise placing quilt-

ing. This is a great technique for personalizing your quilts with perfectly placed designs. We

will be creating the “Piecing Butterscotch Bars” runner. $15 Plus Book


October 3rd

Edge to Edge Using Amelie Scott Designs “Edge to Edge Quilting on Your Embroidery Machine” book we

will take you threw the steps of how to do quilting in the hoop and lining up a ongoing quilting

pattern. When you are done quilting your projects with this technique you will have an all over

quilting pattern, just like on a long arm quilting machine. Class $15 Plus Book


October 17th

Twisted Gnomes Use the Lil’ Twister Tool by Twister Sisters to make this cute table runner.

Then machine appliqué fun Gnomes at either end to spruce it up. Easy to

make in a day, and makes great fast holiday gifts. Fee $15

18 Inch Doll Club: We are making outfits for the American Girl style doll which has be-

come the classic size doll. Classes will be kited each month. Fee $25 -

$30 includes kit. (Depending on kit size and cost)

This Club is on Hold

Open Sew Monday Monday is open sew. Bring your machines and projects in to work with.

We can answer questions. Great time to meet other sewers and share

information. This a free session 11-4. Come in and leave anytime in this time range!

Embroidery Club: Any embroidery machine with a 5 x 7 hoop capacity is welcome. The best way to learn your

embroidery machine is through projects. Class is free unless a kit or pattern is required. The

only requirements for the club is that you need to know the basics on how to run your machine

first. If you don’t know the basics simply sign up for our private lessons first.


Best of Bleuette Doll Club: On going club to make doll clothes for the historical Bleuette Doll. She

has a fabulous wardrobe...we are still making her more out fits. Plenty

of room in class. Includes Kit. Fee $25


Icon Club: Congratulations to our new Icon owners. We are so excited about PFAFF’s new Top of the line

machine. Plan on a combination of workbook classes and project classes. Free if machine pur-

chased from Sound Sewing or Pfaff/Viking Creative Sewing. $15 per session if machine not

bought from us.

Creative Club: In this club we will show you new product through demos. We are working real hard to have

samples of the patterns and designs. We are looking to add inspiration to your sewing experi-

ences. The Club is $30 a year for which you receive a 20% discount for the year. Attend your

first meeting for free and see what this is all about!


Premier+2 Ultra: The new Premier+2 Class is here. We will be learning about the software by doing exercises

together on our computers. You will learn how to Edit Designs, Digitize, Monogram, and

much more. Class Fee $3 if software purchased from us. $15 if purchased else where.

Viking Diamond & Epic Now just like the Pfaff group, we have started a Viking Club for our Diamond and Epic owners.

This is a great way to learn your machine threw a group class. You can hear everyone's ques-

tions and even share your questions about your machine. This class is FREE if your machine

was purchased in our store. If you didn’t purchase from us each class is $20.

CHRISTINA’S QUILT SERVICES

Christina offers various quilting services. These include long-arm quilting, binding & label

making. Dating and appraisals of quilts are also available, as well as restorations. She will also

do custom orders of quilts. Any of our two locations are a place to drop off or pick up. If you
