Before...
The first step is to visit with you and your committee
and determine the best course of action. We will go
over the techniques we will use to make your pews
look and feel great.
We will measure all your pews and give you an exact
price for the job and set a time to come do the work.
• All work done on site
without interruption to
services.
• Most jobs done in just 1
week.
• We replace all foam and
fabric with new, so it’s
like having brand new
pews.
• Upholstery is affordable
starting at only $14 per
foot.
• 1000’s of fabrics to
choose from.
• Free on-site consultation
available.
• Over 20 years pew uphol-
stery experience.
• No subcontracting, we do
all the work.
All pews may look similar, but
they are definitely not all the
same. We will take the time to
examine your pews and insure
that you get the best results
possible.
During our visit, you will choose from hundreds of
fabric choices. You can take as much time as you
need to make this decision, as your happiness is our
only goal. We offer fabrics from several mills and will
have nice size samples for you to go through.
Pew Upholstery—Step By Step
During..
Once you have decided on your fabric and made a deposit, we
will schedule your installation. Your fabric and new foam will be
ordered immediately to insure that your estimated delivery date
is accurate. We take pride in delivering on time. Typically installa-
tion is scheduled a minimum of 6 weeks from the time you place
your order. Occasionally we can work jobs in sooner, but there are
also times that our wait list is pretty significant.
Once we are on site the first step is
to prep the pews for the new
upholstery by removing all of the
existing fabric and foam.
This step can look different depending
on the original pews. The pew above
was solid oak and came from the fac-
tory originally with no padding. The
pews to the left were originally uphol-
stered by their manufacturer. During
your initial consultation we will deter-
mine to what extent your pews will
have to be dismantled and rebuilt.
During..
Once the pews are ready for new fabric and foam we will begin
the application. Foam is glued in place and the fabric is secured
with upholstery staples using various techniques.
A hard tack strip is used to keep
the top of the back straight and
smooth.
Special tools and techniques are used
to insure that the front of the pew
has a nice rounded and uniform look.
The fabric is stretched in all four di-
rections to eliminate the chance of
future wrinkles.
Another form of tack strip is used to
secure the ends of the seat and back
fabric so that in most cases the pew
ends do not have to be removed.
After...
So, there you have it. Step by step how we will make your
pews look better, sit better, and last a bit longer. The next
step for you and your congregation is to schedule a time
for us to come out and chat with you a bit and get the ball
rolling. One thing to consider, when I come out, I will be
able to tell you exactly how we will do the job, because we
will be there doing the work when the time comes. We
aren't going to subcontract your job to anyone.
If you want a quote first before making commitment of
meeting with us, or to compare with other companies, by
all means, let me know. In most instances you can send us
a few photos and we can get you back an estimate within a
few minutes.
We look forward to serving your church!
