At Petworth we firmly believe in creating a bespoke occasion that suits the needs of you and your guests, we do not believe that "one size fits all". Our preferred method of achieving this aim is through a series of consultations and show rounds allowing you to explore the many possibilities the property has to offer. We encourage you to step outside the world of corporate or venue hire and explore ideas that will ultimately result in long lasting memories. All of our private hire locations are available from Monday to Saturday and Sunday by special arrangement. The Deer Park and Pleasure Grounds have the advantage of access from 10:30am until midnight, whereas all other locations are available from 4:30pm until midnight. What Next? Perfect Locations The Deer Park For a relaxed and informal setting our stunning parkland simply can't be beaten. Gentle hills blend into valleys graced by fallow deer, and ancient trees stand like sentinels in the landscape. With four very individual locations available within the park, you’re sure to find the perfect spot for your special occasion. The Pleasure Grounds Shaded groves and lush lawns provide intimate spaces in which to locate traditional marquees, mogul tents or towering tipi's. Conveniently located next to the mansion house, the Pleasure Grounds offer the opportunity to enjoy both the splendour of the state rooms and the more relaxed atmosphere of a garden setting. The Audit Room Part of the 18th century Servants’ Quarters, this generously proportioned room is adorned with antlers giving a distinctly "estate" feel. Comfortably seating up to one hundred people for supper, the space is also perfect for band performances and dancing. The Square Dining Room Opulent and imposing, the perfect room in which to impress your guests as they dine in true country house splendour. Tall gilt mirrors glint in the candlelight and reflect the three-tier hang of ancestral portraits that look down from the walls. The Square Dining Room can seat up to eighty guests on round tables. The Marble Hall With its dramatic black and white tiled floor and elegantly faded walls, this light filled room opens onto the west terrace offering the chance to dine both inside and out in fair weather. The atmosphere of the Marble Hall lends itself admirably to informal dining for up to sixty guests or drinks for eighty. The Beauty Room The most lovely intimate dining room, this is the perfect location for a celebration with close friends or colleagues. A maximum of twenty five guests can be seated at a traditional dining table to enjoy views of the park as the soft Sussex light fades into darkness.
