Onama:Lokalna akcijska grupa Petrova Gora je osnovana 17.03.2010. s ciljemsudjelovanjaupoticanjururalnog iregionalnograzvitka, teradiprovedbeprogramaiprojekatakojidoprinoseodrzivomiruralnomrazvoju.LagPetrovaGoranalaziseusredisnjojhrvatskojiobuhvacaopcineBarilovic,KrnjakiVojnic,kojeadministrativnopripadajuKarlovackojzupanijiteopcineGvozd i Topusko, koje administrativno pripadaju Sisacko–moslovackojzupaniji. Podrucje Lag-a Petrova Gora prostire se na 938,77 km2 , stopredstavlja 14,6% teritorija Karlovacke zupanije i 9,2 % Sisacko –moslovackezupanije.StanovnistvoLag-aziviu155naseljau5opcina.OsobitostLag-ajevisokovrijednabioloskaraznolikostiprirodnabastinacijisudijeloviradisvogmeđunarodnogznacajauvrsteniumeđunarodnumrezuprirodnebastineNATURA2000.Daljnjuzemljopisnuspeci�icnostovogprostorakarakteriziraPetrovaGorasnajvisimvrhomPetrovcemna512mnv,brdovitostterena,krskopodzemljesvelikimspiljskimsustavimaikrskerijeke,termalniizvorivode.BogatstvoprirodneikulturnebastinepodrucjaLag-akojiserasprostirenamikroregiji Kordun, koja predstavlja prije svega etnokulturnu regiju,predstavljanastemeljniresurszarazvoj.

LAGPetrova gora nalazi se u SredisnjojHrvatskoj, najvecimdijelomna podrucjuKorduna kojipredstavljaprvenstvenoetnokulturnu,anejasnode�iniranugeografskuregiju.LAGsepruzapravcemZapad–Istokuduziniod70kilometaradokpravcemSjever–Jugdostizeduzinuod30kilometara.NasjeverujeomeđenrijekomKupomanajuguadministrativnomgranicomsaBosnomiHercegovinom.NazapadnomdijeluLAGjeomeđenopcinomBarilovicduzrijekeKorane,doksunaistokukrajnjegraniceopcinaTopuskoiGvozduztokrijekeGline.TeritorijLAG-aPetrovagorajeizuzetnosumovit,drzavnijeprosjek37%odukupnepovrsinedoksumovitostLAGiznosipriblizno60%povrsine.Veliksumskiekosustavjeosnovazavelikekolicinepitkevodekojimajeovopodrucjeizuzetnobogato.RepublikaHrvatskajejednaodvodecihzemaljauEuropi po izvorima pitke vode, a podrucje LAG-a je jedan od njenih najbogatijih dijelova. KrozpodrucjeLAG-aPetrovagoraprolaze tri veca rijecna toka i to rijekeMreznica,Korana iGlina, aoptimalan sastav sumskih zajednica, obilje vode i hrane tokom cijele godine, dovoljno livada ipasnjakaterelativanmirusumistvarajuidealnestanisneuvjetezavelikibrojzivotinjskihvrsta,stojeovompodrucjuoduvijekpruzalomogucnostirazvojalovnogturizma.NapodrucjuLAG-auvecembrojusuzastupljenesrneidivljesvinje,aposebnostovogkrajapredstavljaivelikibrojjestivihgljivakojesemogusakupljatitokomcitavegodine.Od zasticenih podrucja znacajno je izdvojiti znacajni krajobraz PetroveGore (zasticen od 1969.godine,ukupnepovrsine2.926ha).PetrovaGorajeprostorocuvanihkrajobraznihvrijednostivrsnogdijela Petrove gore s istaknutim vrhovima i potocnim dolinama, te kulturno-povijesnimvrijednostima.Naime,PetrovagoranosiimepoposljednjemhrvatskomkraljuPetruSvacicukojije1097.g.pokusavajuci zaustavitimađarskuvojskunagoriGvozdpoginuo,agoraseodtadanazivaPetrovagora.

LAGPetrovaGora is located in Central Croatia,mostly in theKordunwhich is primarily ethno-cultural,ratherthanaclearlyde�inedgeographicregion.LAGspreadsinWest-Eastdirectioninadistanceof70kilometers,whiletheNorth-Southreachesalength of 30 kilometers. Naseljenost na podrucju LAG-a traje od prapovijesti do danas, pa cijelo podrucje obilujemnogobrojnimarheoloskimlokalitetimaivrijednimnalazistima.Prvetragovenaseljavanjanaovimprostorimamozemopratitiodbakrenogdoba(3.500-2.200pr.n.e.).Razlogtomusubilabogatarudnanalazista na obroncima Petrove Gore jer je bakar, razvojem metalurgije i pojavom serijskeproizvodnje,postaovrlotrazenasirovina.Tijekomzeljeznogdobaserazvijajuiprvautvrđenanaselja.Uantickodoba,naovimprostorimasuzivjeliiKeltisvedo1.stoljeca,kadasu,osvajanjima,asimiliraniurimskukulturu.AntickiputeviodsjeverapremajuguprolazilisupodrucjemLAG-aocemusvjedoceibrojnimiljokazi.U razdoblju od15.-17. stoljeca, radi stalnihprodoraTuraka, naprostoruLAG-apodizusebrojniutvrđenikasteliodkojihsenapodrucjuLAG-analazeidanasostacinekihkaostosuStarigradBarilovic,rusevinestaroggradaOtmica,rusevinestaroggradaKlokoca,rusevinestaroggradaKrstinje,kompleksrusevinacistercitskeopatijeuTopuskom,PavlinskisamostansvetogPetranaPetrovojgoriitd.Odkulturnihisl.manifestacijanaprostoruLAG-avaznojeizdvojiti„Đedovukosidbu“manifestacijukojasesvakegodineumjeseculipnjuodrzavauGvozdu,aokupljapokloniketradicionalnihradovanapoljuizvisesusjednihdrzava.Isto tako, treba istaknuti Seosku olimpijadu naKordunu koja se odrzava u Vojnicu i na kojoj seodrzavajunatjecanjaustarim,zaboravljenimsportskimdisciplinamakaostosubacanjekamenasramena,potezanjekonopa,trcanjeuvreci,potezanjenastapu,obaranjesabrvna,kosnjaisl.Ulipnjuse odrzava i 13 km dugi humanitarni spust gumenim camcima i kanuima niz rijeku Koranu, odPerjasnicedoDonjegVelemerica,aulistopaduseodrzavatradicionalnagljivarijadanaPetrovojgorinalokacijilovackogdomaMuljava.NapodrucjuLAG-ainacepostojioko500hektaraekoloskihpoljoprivrednihpovrsina.Odtogasunaoko300hapodignutiekoloskinasadivoca,anaostalimpovrsinamaseuzgajajuratarskekultureipovrce.Unovijevrijemerevitaliziranjeiuzgojautohtonihsortidomacegcesnjakaigraha,aistotakojeuporastuibrojpcelarakojinudesvojeproizvodeposjetiteljimaovogpodrucja.

Asaresultoftheturbulentpastofthisregion,theterritoryoftheLAGoffersmanyhistoricalandarchaeologicalsites,eachofwhichcarriesitsownstoryandinterestingthingsfromancientormorerecentlyhistory.ThemedievalTownofBarilovicwasbuiltinthe15thcenturyonacliffabovetheriverKorana,onthefoundationsofprehistoricruinsofIllyrianperiod,andthemaintaskwasthedefenseoftheTurkishattacks.IntheMiddleAges,wasoneofthemostimportantdefensivetownsintheborderareaoftheMilitaryFrontiertotheOttomanEmpire.Thecitywasseverelydamagedinairattacksin1944butin2000srestaurationstarted.Illyriantumulus-largeearthenmound,onaprominenthillbytheKoranariver,wasbuiltinordertobury thedeceased in the Illyrian timesduring theperiodbefore2500-3000years.Withina fewkilometerswerefoundseveralmoretumulus(Piscacpeak,Kosijerskoselo,Kestenjak).

OldTownSkradoftheKorana-theruinsthatisassumedtobefoundedinRomantimesjudgingbythenumerousarchaeological�indingsfromthatperiod.IntheMiddleAgesitwasspaciousandwell-forti�iedcity,destroyedandabandonedduringtheTurkishconquestinCroatiainthe16thcentury.Thecitywasnotrenewed;themilitarydrawingfrom1746hasshownitasadilapidatedbuilding.Theresinosightoftheaccess,stone-pavedpaththatledalongSkradskagorauptothegatesandwaspartiallyvisibleevenahundredyearsago.Inthe14thcenturymastersofSkradwere princesofFrankopanKrcki,whoin1466,lefttjeownershipofthetowntofeudalfamiliesBenvenjuda.SkradcanbereachedfromBarilovici,ifyoucrossthebridgeandthenturnrightinthedirectionofhamletsGreatKozinacandDonjiSkrad,tothebuildingofabandonedelementaryschool.Fromthereitfollows,at�irstlight,andthenasteeptrailclimbsthroughadensedeciduousforestinthesouth-westtothetopofthepyramidalhillofschoolbuildingwhichtakesabouthalfanhour.Buttheviewfromthewalls,abovethesteeprightbankofKoranariver,istheprizethatmakesforgetalleffortsandwanderingneededfor"discovery"ofSkrad.

Pavlinskisamostan-navrhuPetrovegore,naVelikomPetrovcu,postojaojepavlinskisamostanscrkvomsv.Petra.Osnovan1303.g.pripadameđunajstarijepavlinskesamostaneuHrvatskoj.Premapovijesnimdokumentima,pavlinskisamostanucijelostijeizgrađen1328.g, astradaojeuvrijemeturskimnapada.Pavlinskiposjedpreuzimajukrajiskevojnevlasti,teposadacrkvenitoranjpretvarau kulu za strazu, a samostan koriste za stanovanje. U 17.st. namjestu stare crkve i od njezinamaterijalasagrađenjezidanicardakkojijeudonjemdijelubiozidan,anadogradnjajebiladrvena.KrajisnicisunapustiliPetrovacnakonrazvojacenjaVojneKrajine.Danas jeraspoznatljivipolozajsamostanskecrkveteopkop.Spomenik na Petrovoj gori izgrađen 1978 godine po ideji kipara Vojina Bakica predstavljamonumentalnodjeloposvecenoborbinarodaKordunskogkrajaprotivfasizmauDrugomSvjetskomratu.Spomenikjevisok32metrainalazisenavrhuMaliPetrovacsakojegsepruzajedinstvenpoglednaokolnopodrucjem,azavedrogdanainagradZagreb.Zamisljenkaomuzejantifasizmatakavjeidjelovaosvedoratnihzbivanjadevedesetihgodinakadajedevastiran.Centralnapartizanskabolnicajeskupdrvenihobjekataizemunica,sagrađenihzapotrebelijecenjaranjenikaibolesnikasasiregpodrucjaKordunautokuDrugogsvjetskograta.Bolnicaserazvijalapostupnoisvojjekonacanoblikdobila1944.godinekadajeimalapreko30objekata.Izbolniceseupravljalo radom ostalih partizanskih bolnica i bolnickih odjela koji su djelovali na podrucjuKordunaiBanije.Tijekomnjenogradakrozbolnicujeproslopreko5000ranjenikaibolesnika.Velikidionjih,preko1000,ostalojevjecnousumiPetrovegoresahranjenonagrobljukrajbolnice.StarigradPernik,odnosnosrednjevjekovnaPerna,jedanodprvihslobodnihkraljevskihgradovauHrvatskojvec1225.godinepostaje,nakonVarazdina,drugislobodnikraljevskigraduHrvatskoj.LukinicpecinakodnaseljaC�remusnicaupovrsinskimslojevimasadrziostatkeizkasnogsrednjegvijeka,aispodtogasedimentnenaslagesfosiliziranimkostimazivotinja.Prepoznatesukostidonjeceljustispiljskogmedvjedajerseonezbogsvojerobusnostinajlaksesacuvaju.Iakosevidetragoviboravkaljudiuspilji,izgledadasu medvjedibilijaciinisudopustilitrajnijenaseljavanjeljudskevrste.

PaulineMonastery-atthetopofPetrovaGora,ontheVelikiPetrovac,therewasPaulinemonasterywiththechurchofSt.Peter.Founded1303.g.belongstotheoldestPaulinemonasteryinCroatia.Accordingtohistoricaldocuments,thePaulinemonasterywasentirelybuilt1328.g,andperishedatthetimeofTurkishattacks.FrontiermilitaryauthoritiestookpossessionofPaulinemonasteryandthearmycrewconvertedthechurchtowerintoatowerofawatchandamonasteryusedforhousing.Inthe17thcenturyatthesiteoftheoldchurchandofitsmaterialwasbuiltbrickblockhousewhichwaswalled in the lower part and upgradingwaswooden. Frontiersmen left Petrovac after thedemobilizationoftheMilitaryBorder.Todayis recognizablepositionofthemonasterychurchandthemoat.ThemonumentonPetrovaGorabuiltin1978,upontheideaofsculptorVojinBakic,representsamonumentalworkdedicatedtothestruggleofthepeopleofKordunregionagainstfascisminWorldWarII.Themonumentis32metershighandislocatedonthetopofMaliPetrovac,whichoffersauniqueviewofthesurroundingarea,andonacleardaythecityofZagreb.Conceivedasamuseumofanti-fascismitexistedandworkeduntilthewarinthe90swhenitwasdevastated.Centralpartisanhospitalisacollectionofwoodenbuildingsanddugouts,builtforthetreatmentofwoundedandsickpartisansfromthegeneralareaofKordunduringWorldWarII.Thehospitalhasdevelopedgraduallyandits�inalformwasreceivedin1944whentherewasover30facilities.Fromthehospitalwasmanagedtheworkofotherpartisanhospitalsandhospitalwardswhowereactiveinthe liberatedarea inoccupiedCroatia.During itswork, through thehospitalpassedover5000woundedandsick.Alargepartofthem,over1000,remainedforeverintheforestofPetrovaGora,buriedinthecemeterybesidethehospital.TheoldtownofPernik,inthemedievalcalledPerna,isoneofthe�irstfreeroyaltownsinCroatia.In1225,afterVarazdin,itbecamesecondfreeroyalcityinCroatia.LukiniccavenearthevillageC�remusnica,inthesurfacelayerscontainstheremainsofthelateMiddleAges,andbelowthat,thesedimentarydepositsfromthefossilizedbonesofanimals.Izwasidenti�iedthelowerjawboneofacavebearastheyareduetoitsrobustness,easiesttomaintain.Althoughyoucanseeevidenceofpeople in thecave, it seems that thebearswerestrongeranddidnotallowpermanentcolonizationofthehumanspecies.

Jopicpecinajediovelikogspiljskogsustavaukupneduzine6.710m,znacajnojearheoloskonalazistekao i staniste ugrozenih zivotinjskih vrsta. Stoga je u postupku zastite u kategoriji posebnogzooloskogrezervata.S�piljasenalazioko1kmsjevernoodcesteKarlovac-SlunjkodmjestaKrnjak.Rijecjeohorizontalnomspeleoloskomobjektusjamskimulazima,nekolikovodenihtokovaivrloslozenommrezomkanalakojutvorecetiripotokaikojajeetaznogtipa,nanekimmjestimaucetirirazine. Trenutno je ukupna duzina spilje 6564metara sto ju cini petompo duljini uHrvatskoj.Jopiceva spilja je vazno vodeno i kopneno staniste npr. staniste zimujuce kolonije velikogpotkovnjaka (Rhinolophus ferrumequinum ) velicine 400-500 jedinki i endemicnih vrsta racicarodova Niphargus i Monolistra. U spilji su nađeni arheoloski ostaci iz kasnoantickog iranosrednjovjekovnograzdoblja.IznaddijelaJopicevespiljenalazisespiljaGvozdenica(528m),kojazasadanijepovezanasJopicevomspiljom,alipopostankupripadaistomsistemuipredstavljajednuodgornjihetaza.Protezeseuvelikomlukuodsjeverapremazapaduijugu.IzvortoplevodeMlakovac-naglavnojcestiKarlovac-Plitvicepostavljen jeputokazsnatpisom"Ilidza – termalni izvor“.Radi se o izvoru tople vodeMlakovacu seluDonjiBudacki u opcini.UkartamaVojneKrajinesezvao–Ilidzastojeturskinazivzatopliceililjekovitokupaliste.Potjeceizvremena kadajeovopodrucjebilogranicaTurskogcarstvaiHabsburskemonarhije.Vreloizbijaizdolomitnihstijenastarihoko200milijunagodina.Dolinomprotjeceistoimenipotoksasedamizvora,alijedinojeMlakovactoplovodan.MjerenjimatemperaturevodetijekomzimeustanovljenojedajeMlakovac10-akstupnjevatoplijiodKoraneiokolnihizvora.Ovajizvorusredoranice,obzidanjedvavidljivimzidicemodneobrađenogkamenja oddavninasluzizapranjerublja,kupanje,napajanjestoke te ispiranje lana i konoplje. Ima i ljekovita svojstva, osobito zakoznaoboljenja jerobilujejodidnimionima.Vecinakamenanakojemsuzenestajaleipraleodjecujetijekomvremenaotuđena.NedalekoodizvorasenalaziijednaodnajduzihspiljauHrvatskoj,Jopicapecinasapodzemnomrijekom.

Jopiccaveispartofalargecavesystemtotallengthof6710m,animportantarchaeologicalsite,aswellasthehabitatofendangeredspecies.Itisthereforeintheprocessofprotectionasaspecialzoologicalreserve.Thecaveislocatedabout1kmnorthoftheroadKarlovac-SlunjinKrnjak.Thisisahorizontal cave-housewithapit entrance, severalwatercoursesandhighly complexnetworkofchannelsconsistingoffourstreamsofthecondominiumtype,insomeplacesinfourlevels.Currentlythetotallengthofthecaveis6564metersmakingitthe�ifthlengthwiseinCroatia.Jopiccaveisimportantaquaticandterrestrialhabitateg.Winteringhabitatforcoloniesofthegreaterhorseshoebat (Rhinolophus ferrumequinum), size of 400-500 specimens and endemic species of shrimpgenderof NiphargusandMonolistra.InthecavewerefoundarchaeologicalremainsfromthelateRomanandearlymedievalperiod.AbovepartofJopiccavethereisacaveGvozdenica(528m),whichhasnotyetbeenassociatedwithJopiccave,butitsoriginbelongstothesamesystemandisoneoftheupper�loors.Itextendsinagreatarcfromnorthtowestandsouth.Hot springMlakovac -on themain roadKarlovac -Plitvice stands signpostwith the inscription"Ilidza–termalniizvor“whichpointsoutthedirectionuptothethermalspring.ItisasourceofhotwaterMlakovac in thevillageofDonjiBudacki in themunicipalityofKrnjak. In themapsof theMilitaryFrontierwascalled-IlidzaastheTurkishnameforspaormedicinalbaths.ItdatesbacktowhenthisareawastheborderbetweentheOttomanEmpireandtheHabsburgmonarchy.Springgushesoutfromdolomiterocksaround200millionyearsold.Alongthewalley,therearethe�lowingstreamofthesamenamewithsevensprings,butonlyMlakovaciswarm.BymeasuringthewatertemperatureduringthewinteritwasfoundthatMlakovacis10degreeswarmerthantheKoranariverandenvironmentalsources.Thisspringinthemiddleof�ields,walledwithbarelyvisiblewallofroughstonesfromancienttimeswasusedforlaundry,bathing,wateringlivestockandwashinglinenandhemp.Ithasmedicinalproperties,especiallyforskindiseasesbecauseitisrichiodideions.Themostofthestoneonwhichwomenwerestandingandwashedclothesovertimealienated.NotfarfromthespringislocatedoneofthelongestcaveinCroatia,Jopiccavewithundergroundriver.

Srednjevjekovno arheolosko nalaziste kraj Topuskog - desetak kilometara sjeverozapadno odTopuskog,napodrucjuSlavskogpolja,arheolozisuotkriliostatkecrkveikapeliceizranogsrednjegvijeka.Uunutrasnjostizdanjapronađenisubrojni,vrlodobroocuvanigroboviimucnijihstanovnikaovogakraja.Lapidarij uTop-Termama -mnogimuzeji imaju lapidarij, posebanprostorukojemu su izlozenezbirkeradovaukamenu,kaostosuskulptureiliarheoloskispomenici,alikadajedantakavlapidarijimahotel,tojebezsumnjesvojevrsnaatrakcija.Upravotakvajednazbirkasarimskimarheoloskimiskopinamaiz3.i2.stoljecaprijenaseere,nalaziseuhodnikuistocnogulazahotelaToplicaTopTermiTopusko.Engleski park - na izletu austrougarskih casnika, clanova Austrijskog botanickog drustva, samaustrijskicarFranjoJosipjepredloziodaseuTopuskomzasadiparkpouzorunaengleskeparkove,utovrijemevrlopopularneuEuropi.Nekolikoposebnostiovajbotanickivrtciniposebnozanimljivim.IdanasuparkuponosnostojedvastablaGinkaBilobe,pravogbotanickograritetakojejeprezivjeloledenodobaizakojejeCharlesDarwinrekaodapredstavljajedinizivibiljnifosilnasvijetu.Nadalje,usredparkajosidanasstojimuzickipaviljon,poznatkaoOcicevasjenica,ukojojjeaustrijskivojniorkestarzanedjeljnesetnjesviraoposjetiteljimaparka,azavaznijihblagdana,uranuzoru,sviraobudnice.Kamenaspomenica-uTopuskompostojistijenanakojojsu,prijeviseod200godina,znamenitigostizapoceli urezivati svoje inicijale i poruke, ostavljajuci tako pisani trag o posjetu ondasnjemmondenomkupalistu.Mekanastijena,pogodnazaobradu,krijestotineimenaiinicijalaurezanihpazljivo,�iligranskompreciznoscu,ateknekolicinaautoradanasjepoznata.NasamomvrhustijenekojudanaszovuKamenaspomenica,pukovnikIvanNestor,zapovjednikPrvebanijskepukovnijeuGlini,urezaoje1818.svojeime,ukrasiogaukamenuisklesanimliscemtenajvjerojatnijepostaozacetnikomtoganeobicnogspomenara.Nestokasnije,odmahispodnjega,ibanJosipJelacicurezujesvojeinicijale,adaljeslijedestotinedrugihimena,inicijalaiporuka.

Medieval archaeological sitenearTopusko -10kilometersnorthwestofTopusko, in theareaofSlavskopolje,archaeologistsdiscoveredtheremainsofthechurchandthechapelfromtheearlyMiddleAges. Inside thebuilding therearenumerous, verywellpreserved tombsof thewealthyinhabitantsofthisregion.LapidaryintheTop-Terme-Manymuseumshavealapidary,aspecialareawherethereareexposedacollectionofworks in stone, such as sculpturesor archaeologicalmonuments, butwhen suchalapidaryhasahotel,itiswithoutdoubtauniqueattraction.This particularcollectionwithRomanarchaeologicalartifactsdatingfromthe3rdand2ndcenturyBC,islocatedinthecorridoroftheeasternentrancetotheHotelToplicainTopusko.EnglishPark–ontheexcursionofAustro-Hungarianof�icers,membersoftheAustrianbotanicalsociety,theAustrianEmperorFranzJosephhimselfsuggestedthatinTopuskoshouldbeplantedparkmodeledaftertheEnglishparks,atthattimeverypopularinEurope.Byseveralspecialfeaturesthisbotanicalgardenmakesitparticularlyinteresting.Eventoday,intheparkproudlystandtwotreesofGinkgobiloba,abotanicalraritiesthatsurvivedtheIceAgeandaboutwhichCharlesDarwinsaidthatistheonlylivingplantfossilsintheworld.Furthermore,inthemiddleoftheparkstillstandsmusicpavilion,knownasOcicevasjenica (arbor),where theAustrianmilitarybandplayedreveille forvisitorsoftheparkduringaSundaywalk,andformajorholidays,atdawn.Stonememorial-inTopuskothereistherockuponwhich,morethan200years,thefamousguestsstartedengravetheirinitialsandmessages,leavingthewrittenrecordofthevisittotheTopuskospa.Softrock,suitableforprocessing,hidinghundredsofnamesandinitialscarvedcarefully, �iligreeprecision,and justafewauthorsisknowntoday.Atthetopoftherock,whichisnowcalledStonememorial,ColonelIvanNestor,commanderoftheFirstBanijaregimentinGlina,engravedin1818hisname, decorated it in stone carved leaves and probably became the founder of this unusualscrapbook.Sometimelater,immediatelybelowit,JosipJelaciccarveshisinitials,andstillfollowthehundredsofothernames,initialsandmessages.

Suncanisat-sveganekolikometaraodglavnograskrizjauTopuskomstojineugledankamenistup.Prijeviseod150godina, stanovniciTopuskog su,pogledomnanjega,uvijek znali koliko je sati.Kamenisatjeprestaopokazivativrijemekadasuokonjeprijepedesetakgodinanaraslastablaitakobacilasjenu,pajeodtadazapusten,napustenipotpunozaboravljen.Nedavnimkrcenjemstabalasuncejeponovoobasjalostariipreciznikronometarpajeovajvrijedanspomenikkulturnebastineopet u funkciji.Mjesto gdje stoji stup suncanog sata bilo je sredinom 19. stoljeca najuzi centarTopuskog.Prekoputasatanalazilasevojnabolnica,uneposrednojblizinibilojeivojnokupaliste"Spiegelbad".Zbogvelikogbrojaljudikojisekretaonatomprostoruvjerojatnojeisagrađenasuncanaura.AustrougarskacarevinauvaznimmjestimainavaznimraskrsnicamagradilajeovakvesuncanesatovenorijetkokojijeostaosacuvankaoovajuTopuskom.Topuskovrela-osimdobropoznatihizvoratermalnevodekojusuitekakokoristiliRimljani,aprijenjihiplemenaKolapjana,KeltaiJapoda,Topuskojepoznatopobrojnimizvorimahladneipitkevode.U neposrednoj blizini ondasnjeg ljekovitog kupalista uređena su tri vrela na kojima su putnicinamjerniciigostiTopuskogzavrucihljetnihdanagasilizeđ.Jelacicevovreloizgrađenojekrajem19.stoljecausumarkuselaVelikaVranovina,nestoviseod2,5kilometaraodTopuskog,pajeputdoovogizvorapravaposlasticazaljubiteljesetnje.VrelojecestoposjecivaozapovjednikGlinskepukovnije,JosipJelacic,kojijeznaosatimauzivatiuhladovinivrelauzsum bistre, izuzetno hladne vode. Zbog njegovih cestih posjeta, lokalno stanovnistvo ovaj izvorprozvalojeJelacicevovreloinazivsezadrzaosvedodanas.Udrugojpolovici19.stoljeca,nauspomenuicastsvogaoca,IvanaBenkaondasnjegzapovjednikaPrve banske pukovnije, njegov sin Antun dao je urediti izvor hladne i pitke vode i sve obzidaokamenomnakojemujedominiralovelikoraspelo.Josidanas,gotovo200godinakasnije,navelikecrkveneblagdanelokalnostanovnistvoznapolozitibuketecvijeca.NakrajustazeparkaOpatovinapoznati jeNapoleonovgraditeljMollinary1877.godinesagradiovrelozakojese,svedodanas,uvrijeziloimesamoggraditelja.Ovajizvorpitkeinadasvehladnevode,usjenistoljetnihstabala,vrlo jepopularnomjestozaodmor igotovosvakodnevnogaposjecujuposjetitelji,gostiipacijentiTermiTopusko.

Sundial-justafewmetersfromthemainintersectioninTopuskostandsnotelessstonepillar.Formorethan150years,theinhabitantsofTopusko,byviewingonit,alwaysknewwhattimeitis.Thesundialhasstoppedbeingawatcharound�iftyyearsago,whengrowntreescastashadow,andsincethenithasbeenneglected,abandonedandcompletelyforgotten.Therecentcuttingoftree,sthesunagainshoneoldandprecisionchronometersothisvaluablemonumentisoperationalagain.Placewherepillarsundialstandingwasinthemid-19thcenturytheclosestcenterofTopusko.Acrossthestreet,therewasamilitaryhospital andnearitwasmilitarybaths"Spiegelbad".Duetothelargenumberofpeoplewhomovedthroughthisareawasprobablybuiltthissundial.Austro-HungarianempireinimportantplacesandatmajorintersectionshasbuiltsuchsundialsbutrarelytherewassomepreservedasthisoneinTopusko.Topuskosprings -apart fromthewell springsof thermalwater thatareverymuchusedby theRomans, and before them, illirian tribes, Topusko is known for its numerous springs and colddrinkingwater.NearthethermalbaththerearethreespringsinwhichthetravelersandguestsofTopuskoduringhotsummerdaysquenchedtheirthirst.Jelacicwellwasbuiltinthelate19thcenturyintheforestvillageofVelikaVranovina,slightlymorethan2.5kilometersfromTopusko,butthepathtothisspringisarealtreatforloversofwalks.ThespringisoftenvisitedcommanderoftheGlinaregimentofAustro-HungarianArmy,JosipJelacic,whoforhoursenjoyedtheshadeofspringwiththesoundclear,extremelycoldwater.Becauseofhisfrequentvisits,localresidentsthiswellcalledtheJelacicwellandthenamehasbeenretainedtothesedays.Inthesecondhalfofthe19thcentury,inmemoryandhonorofhisfatherIvanBenko,thecommanderoftheFirstRegimentofAustro-HungarianArmy,hissonAntungaveto�ixupthespringofcoldandfreshwaterandallforti�iedwiththestoneonwhichhasdominatedthelargecruci�ix.Eventoday,nearly200yearslater,duringchurchholidayslocalpopulationpreferstolaybouquetsof�lowersnearthewell.AttheendofthepathoftheOpatovinapark,famousNapoleon'sbuilderMollinary1877builtthewellforwhich,untiltoday,thenormhasbecomethenameofthebuilder.Thissourceofdrinkingandverycoldwater,intheshadeofancienttrees,isaverypopularplacetovisitandrestandalmostonadailybasisvisitors,guestsandpatientsofTopuskovisitit.
