Petrov Nikolay Nikolayevich

“Sport! Sport! Sport! It’s not only his work but it’s his life”. These words I can say about my neighbour who is one of the talented teachers and coaches Nikolay Nikolayevich Petrov. He was born on 25th of January 1954 in Kozlovka, Chuvash ASSR. And now he lives and works in Novocheboksarsk, Chuvashia.

When Nikolay Nikolayevich was a child, he went in for sports. He was interested judo and sambo.

In 1979 he received the title of Master of Sports. Being a student Nikolay Nikolayevich started to train 18 pupils and 4 of them received the title “Master of Sports”. But his pupil Sergey Andreev was three-time champion of the RSFSR and International Master of Sports.

Nikolay Nikolayevich really can be proud of his pupils because he brought up the sportsmen who took part and won in different competitions. They are:

• Eduard Ivanov - the master of sports, the honored coach of RSFSR;

• Elena Karpova (Vasilyeva) - the master of sports, winner of the Cup of Russia and Russian championship;

• Anastasia Tarasova - the master of sports, three-time champion of Russia, champion of Europe;

• Ksenia Mironova - two-time winner of the championship of Russia;

• Alexander Fedorov, Nikita Dzigarev, Denis Petrov, …

Nikolay Nikolayevich made a lot for the development of judo and sambo in our town and now he dreams about the development of sumo.

In conclusion I’d like to say: “There is no better reward for a teacher than to be proud of his pupils”. And Nikolay Nikolayevich really can be proud of his students.
