NEXT GENERATION PROGRAMThe objective of the Next Generation program is to educate students on the important role energy plays in our society and provide information on the diversity of career options available within the Oil and Gas Industry. We work with the industry’s leading organisations to deliver the Next Generation Program directly to students.

By matching each school with an industry mentor, students get first hand access to information from someone working directly in the industry. Students produce a research deliverable on their chosen career, with the top performing students being invited to the Student Expo Day held at Curtin University, to share their research and to celebrate their achievements.

Each year the program is growing and we currently engage over 400 students annually.

BRINGING ENERGY INTO THE CLASSROOM

ENERGY4MEWe have partnered our 2016 program with the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ (SPE) Energy4me! This will provide us with access to project activities, mentor and teacher workshops, scholarship programs, classroom materials and educational tools.

We believe that in order to garner the interests of students to study STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) we need to provide teachers and mentors the tools to make learning about the Oil and Gas industry fun and interactive.

BECOME A MENTORIt is a rewarding experience and an opportunity to give back to the community, the industry you work in and enhance your own personal development.

We are always searching for energetic, positive role models in the industry who value the process of sharing their knowledge to the “next generation”.

There are various ways to be involved, either as a Lead Mentor, Panel mentor or as a guest speaker for those schools wanting to incorporate into their careers program.

PROGRAM SPONSORSHIPHelp inspire the next generation and positively promote the oil and gas industry to our future workforce.

The program values the role teachers and energy professionals play in educating young people about the importance of energy.

• Give back to the community and positively promote the industry you work in;

• Engage directly with students to inspire their career choices;

• Inspire the next generation and contribute to the industry’s need for ongoing education;

• Support an industry education program that has been delivered for over 20 years.

With the contribution from our sponsors we are able to continue to facilitate this valuable education program.

There are a number of ways to be involved through sponsorship, providing industry mentors or supporting the Student Expo Day by providing interactive displays.

Today’s students are tomorrow’s industry professionals. Our message to students everywhere is “Come and join the Oil & Gas industry and help create the world’s energy solutions for today, tomorrow and the future!”
