COTTONor TWEED?

Peter Christian is unashamedly MENS wear devoted to provisioning men with all of their outfitting needs. We were seeking locations with the right atmosphere to show off our autumn range when some bright spark suggested visiting a few of my own

favourite stomping grounds.

Post-haste we toddled off to the Gwydyr barbers salon in Hove which is a bastion of blokeyness; there you can sit and talk cobblers or simply read the papers and let them get on with it. Now, I realise I’m treading on thin ice here but I still enjoy the

occasional post prandial Turkish or Oriental gasper. Traditional Tobacconists are all but gone now so it was a dream to step into Burkitts, a capsule of retail reminiscence and an excellent backdrop for our traditional tweeds and worsteds. Time for tea and I pointed my crew to the Blackbird Tea Rooms in Brighton. Cream tea, cakey and a

cuppa it can’t be beaten, lucky our trousers have the magic waistband!

Sartorially speaking, September is a tricky month, I never know where I am with it. The fag end of summer and the onset of autumn; the days can be warm, hot even but the chilly evenings remind us of the winter ahead. So what to wear, tweed or cotton,

cotton or tweed? The answer is of course both, you need to adjust your garb according to the changing temperature. So to reflect this mixed up time of the year I humbly present my mixed up (but of course, carefully considered) autumn clothing range.

UK Delivery

All UK orders are sent using tracked services, if we have your email address, we will send you a tracking number when the parcel is dispatched. Express or next day orders placed by 2pm will be dispatched the same day. Next day service requires a signature on receipt and is subject to availability. If you order on a Friday or Saturday, it may take slightly longer to process, unfortunately the next day service can not be guaranteed for Saturday delivery. If something is not in stock, we will send it as soon as it arrives. Of course we only charge for delivery once per order - even if we send out more than one parcel. Orders placed at the weekend will be processed on the following Monday.
