Overview

The Patient/Dispenser Dialogue PowerPoint Presentation is designed to help dispensers use Power Point with patients to communicate the facts about hearing loss, but more importantly, involve the patient in an active and vibrant dialogue that promotes questions and answers, and results in the patient becoming more emotionally involved in understanding how hearing works, what happens when hearing is lost, why hearing loss needs to be dealt with in a timely fashion, and why he needs to act now. The presentation is designed for use in two parts: Part I, before the Test, and Part II after the test, and before the recommendation. Part I Introduction Probe patient as to reason for visit: Did he: Know he had a problem? Might have a Problem? Someone else think he had a problem?
