Why hire a personal trainer?The benefits of working with a personal trainer are endless. Whether you are a beginning exerciser who wants to learn about safety and technique, or an experienced athlete looking to train for an event, our personal trainers will help guide you.
How do I get started?Your first appointment with a trainer will be one hour in length and must be paid for in advance. Once you’ve paid for your initial session, you will be contacted by a MCC Personal Trainer who will meet with you to discuss your health history, provide a consultation, and put you through a modified workout to evaluate your current fitness level in order to develop a client-specific routine to help you achieve your goals.

Steve KoebckeSteve Koebcke is a graduate of Indiana State University
with a B.S. in Exercise Science. He is a Certified
Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and
Conditioning Association. Steve has been training
individuals and groups for the past 13 years. His belief
is that fitness should be fun, challenging, safe, and effective. Everyone has a unique fitness goal which can be achieved through
proper nutrition, strength training, cardiovascular exercise, and flexibility. Steve has worked with
clients ranging in age from 10 to 80 years old. His goal is to not only educate you about fitness, but to help
you achieve individual goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle for a
lifetime.
Meet Our Trainers
Josh Ryan
Josh Ryan attended IU and earned a B.S. in Kinesiology. He is an American Council
on Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Trainer and holds an American
Red Cross certification - CPR, AED and FA.
Josh’s training approach comes from three major
goals that he has for every client. The first
and foremost is to help them achieve their goal by tailoring a workout specifically for them. Secondly, his purpose in training is to give an
effective, upbeat workout while having fun and
making exercise enjoyable at the same time. Finally,
he wants his clients to achieve health and fitness while making sure they are comfortable in the weight
room, outdoors, their home or wherever they
have a chance to exercise.
Lori MabeLori Mabe earned a B.S.
in Community Health and Fitness from the University
of Wisconsin LaCrosse. She also attended Indiana
University where she earned a M.S. in Applied Sport Science and Motor
Development. Her certifications include the American College
of Sports Medicine and she is noted as a Medical Exercise Specialist from
the American Academy of Fitness Professionals.
Lori has been a personal trainer for the past 20 years. As a trainer, Lori
is able to encourage and empower clients to
enhance their fitness and health. A participant can entrust Lori to increase
their strength, flexibility, agility, power, muscle tone,
muscle strength, balance and conditioning. Lori has helped clients ranging in age from 11-85 years old.
Sharon McGoffSharon is a certified
personal trainer, health fitness specialist and
Wellness Coach. She has been licensed through the American College of Sports
Medicine since 1996 and Well Coaches, Inc, since 2008. She also teaches
group fitness classes and spinning. Sharon received
a B.S. in Radiologic Sciences/Nuclear
Medicine Technology from Indiana University and a J.D. from the Indiana
University School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana. She is an avid swimmer,
cyclist and runner, having competed in several
triathlons and marathons. Sharon is a knowledgeable
and motivating personal trainer, assisting clients
to achieve improved health and personal
fitness through exercise, better nutrition and stress
management.
Becky EatonA native of northern
Wisconsin, Becky holds a B.S. from Drake University and is a Certified Personal
Trainer through The American Council on
Exercise (ACE). Becky has held a myriad of roles in the wellness field - from teaching healthy cooking
classes to medical students to designing fitness
programs and health promotion campaigns.
She also teaches healthy cooking classes through
her business, Becky’s Healthy Kitchen, LLC, at a variety of venues around Indy. Her passion lies in sharing the principles of
fitness and healthy lifestyle habits with her clients.
She is excited to help her Monon Community Center clients meet their fitness
goals.
