Personal artistic project, live and studio, influenced by my experiences with electroacoustic music and video art. Here is where I experiment with Sound Design, crafting my own sounds both with software and handmade hardware.I also develop the visual part, using a personal software which translates sound into animations and graphics even while I'm playing. I also use these visual tools to vj at events and concerts.

During my period at the Conservatorio, I was called many times to illustrate and discuss my works (from softwares to interactive systems) to other classes for didactic purpouses.I also used to show and teach to the new students how to use the school’s audio and video equipment.

AUDIO AND VIDEO PRODUCTION

I have a good experience that covers almost every aspect of the video making, grew working in a team or experimenting by myself. My works (videos, installations, performances) have been featured by many events in Italy and abroad (Teatro Verdi of Trieste, Mittelfest, All Frontiers, Mi&Lab, La Scuola Illuminata, Bienale Koper, K3 Film Festival, Cervignano Film Festival).

VIDEO OPERATOR I used professional cameras and I know how they work.

EDITING I use Adobe Premiere, but I also know and used softwares like Sony Vegas and Final Cut.I edited music videos, video art pieces, short movies.

POST PRODUCTION I know how to get the look I want from raw footage, or clean it up from excessive noise. Basic animations & special effects knowledge using Adobe AfterEffects without external plugins. I write software with Process-ing to get unique graphics.I know the peculiarity of the various video format and codecs, so that I can choose the most suitable for what I’m doing and gain rendering speed.

PHOTOGRAPHY I used both digital and analog cameras. I know how to get a good image even out of a cheap camera. I then use Adobe Photoshop or Light-room to edit the RAW files and then compress them with the minimum quality loss (great for the web). I think the image is a narrative element. Any time I shot, I carefully compose.

GRAPHIC DESIGN I develop my ideas in a clean, functional and elegant style, follow-ing the ''less is more'' concept. I use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, often in parallel with some self-written software. For printings, videos, for the web.

SOUND DESIGN Since I begun to play the guitar, I’ve put a lot of effort to vary and achieve particular sound timbres. When I started to compose with a pc, i saw an immense new world of possibilities.I choose a sound source, i record it many times, then I edit it. I love to create unique and interesting sound objects out of fragments of record-ings. I know the digital signal processing techniques.

AUDIO MIXING Good audio mixing skills: for both music and video productions.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

I know very well, i use and I repaired/maintained Mac, Linux and Windows platforms. I also assembled, repaired and worked with professional work-stations. PROGRAMMING Processing (Java-Javascript, very well) MAX MSP (a visual programming tool, very well) HTML (base, I built my personal website) CSS (base, I built my personal website)

Base electronics knowledge. I learned how they’re made and how they work by repairing and making small circuits.I realized interactive installations systems (Museo Revoltella of Trieste, Conservatorio Tartini, Bienale Koper), controllers and tiny musical instru-ments.

MUSIC COMPOSITIONI compose contemporary electronic and electroacoustic music pieces, movie scores. I also have an electronic dance music project, with which I refuse to claim any genre. I like experimental music and the ideas behind it, but I want to convolve that spirit with a more accessible one.My style and my knowledge have been influenced by my interest to music from any country and age, by the academic study of electroacoustic music composition and by my experience with the classical guitar.

I can easily ‘make something’ with my hands.If needed, I know or I easily get how to repair or set up something malfunc-tioning.It’s easy for me to learn something new in short time. I like cooking (also veg), using fresh food and ingredients rather than pre-made foods.
