Benefit #1
OER resources helped
me tremendously
when I had no budget
or access to
commercially
published curriculum.
Benefit #2I know I am not the expert on everything…
sometimes it is better to let the “expert” teach it!
Benefit #3
Provides an alternative to supporting large
publishing corporations…kind of like not
shopping at Walmart.
Benefit #4
Promotes self-education…I learn a lot!
Benefit #5Decreases the piles of unwanted, outdated,
used textbooks that go to the recycling
bin…or (worse yet) the landfill!
Challenge #1Increases the piles of unwanted, outdated,
used textbooks that go to onto my
bookshelves at home.
Challenge #2
My internet access is too slow for Flickr or
YouTube. (That’s why I’m using clipart.)
Challenge #3

Will Pearson and
Amazon really let
this happen?
Challenges #4-6
I need $1.00 for my ideas!
I need $5.00 for my time!
I need $100.00 to update it!
