It will be years for many to recover. We are fortunate here in the Permian Basin to have seen lit- tle impact of that record breaking storm. I encour- age everyone to consider providing whatever support they deem appropriate for those less fortunate. I would also like to express support for the Petrole- um Engineering Department at UTPB in Odes- sa. This relatively new department has seen a strong growth in student enrollment which is already result- ing in a positive impact on the local petroleum in- dustry. Scott Williams and myself have met with Professor Abdallah Harouaka and Associate Profes- sor Ahmed Kamel several times. The Petroleum En- gineering Department is working with a minimal amount of lab equipment and industry learning ma- terial and is in need of just about anything they can get from industry to help bring the real world into the classroom. The Board of the Permian Chapter is From the President reviewing options to help fund the purchase of lab equipment (mud and/or cement) in addition to po- tential supplemental funding from the National Board of AADE. I encourage all members of the Permian Chapter to consider having your com- panies donate either tangible items or financially to help fund specific items. Possibilities could include lab equipment (new or used in working condition), lab supplies, technical manuals or other items that could be used as learning materials. This could range from retired, used or older model tools and equipment to surplus items no longer needed. If you think you have something that might be of use in the classroom, please contact either Harouaka or Kamel and discuss the possibilities. “Economical and Environmentally Friendly Drilling Fluid Waste Disposal” Speakers:

Jesse Post & Jason Larchar - Milestone Environmental Services

Jesse is the Director of Corporate Sales. He began his oilfield career years ago as a vacuum truck driver in east-ern New Mexico where he grew up. Jesse has more than 18 years of experience in oilfield waste solu on sales and support. Jesse is responsible for the leadership, coaching, training and development of the sales team along with implemen ng sales strategies and customer focus. Jesse is an accomplished leader in building and developing teams, market presence and introducing new technologies. He believes that as a leader, you must provide structure, support, accountability and inspira on to develop a team.

He began his career in execu ve sales at Baker Hughes. Rounding out his sales experience in the oil and gas industry, Jesse also held sales management posi ons at Smith Interna onal, Total Separa on Solu ons, and Tervita. His years of sales experience in the industry have taken him from the Permian Basin to areas all across North America. He is passionate about leading while maintaining company and personal integrity.

He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army as an armored crewman in both 4/67 Armor “Bandits” in Friedberg, Germany, and 2/8 Cavalry at Fort Hood, Texas.

Jesse earned his BA with honors in Marke ng from the University of Phoenix along with an Associate’s Degree in Environmental Technology from New Mexico Junior College. He is a member of the American Associa on of Drilling Engineers (AADE), Young Professional in Energy (YPE), Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Interna-

onal Associa on of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and American Petroleum Ins tute (API).

Jesse lives in Houston with his wife and daughter. He enjoys golfing, camping, and hun ng as well as The Miller Outdoor Theater and the arts that Houston has to offer.
