PERFUMERY AND FLAVOR SYNTHETICS
The Laboratory of Applied Catalysis and Fine Chemicals (LACFC), part of the Department of Organic Technology ICT Prague has been working in this field for more than thirty years. During this period of time a number of technologies for Czech and international industrial partners have been designed, technically developed and implemented to the plant scale (more than 20 compounds).
The greatest commercial success has production of Arocet (2-tert.butylcyclohexyl-acetate) at Aroma company.
Here is produced more than 1/3 world production.
Besides the very close cooperation with chemical industry attention has also been paid to the fundamental and applied catalytic research as evidenced by a number of research and review papers in the world most recognized journals and in books and book chapters.
The LACFC is equipped with GCMS, LCQ, HPLC and GC analytical systems and lot of equipments for working at the great pressure and temperature. Other characterization techniques are available within the structure of the ICT (NMR, SEM, TEM, TGA, FTIR etc.).
