Elastolit® R (RIM systems) is characterized by particularly high impactstrength even in extremely cold conditions. It’s special reinforcements alsomake it extremely rigid.

The polyurethane systems Elastolit® and Elastoflex® are ideally suitable formanufacturing great-looking exterior car parts such as mudguards, frontand rear bumpers, door sills, spoilers, hoods, wing mirror housings or roofmodules.

They guarantee low weight, excellent aerodynamics, reducedsusceptibility to minor damages, top mechanical characteristics and a high level of design freedom. Alltogether, this makes them a first-classeconomic alternative to classic materials in the automotive exteriorssector.

Dynamics at a glance: Spoiler and spoiler lips made from Elastolit® K.

It is easier to create filigree complex contours with the compact duromer systemElastolit® K than with classic metal construction methods. Even for large components with a wall thickness of 2 mm and more, Elastolit® K proves its worth, thanks to economic processing options and a paint-friendly surface.

Top protection: Roof module made from Elastoflex® E.

The slogan for hardtops is: the lighter and more resistant the better. The semi-rigid system Elastoflex® E fulfils all necessary conditions in thisrespect, plus excellent heat and cold resistance, top adhesion to othermaterials and excellent sound and vibration insulation.

PUre driving pleasure: 19 polyurethane components in the smart crossblade.

From the three-part front section made from Elastolit® R to the roll bar withinlaid head pads made from integral semi-rigid foam to the trunk lid madefrom Elastolit® K – 19 perfect, super-light PU components ensure uniquedriving pleasure in the smart crossblade.

In addition to its high stability, Elastolit® R is also easy to paint, has first-classmechanical characteristics, temperature and climate resistance and top flow characteristics. Thanks to its short demolding it is also economical to produce.

PU-molded skins in Elastoskin® ensure a high-quality look and particularlyfine tactile properties – for example in the DaimlerChrysler S-Class and theSLK. They can be produced in constant wall thicknesses and allow muchscope for design.

The semi-rigid foam system is ideal for foambacking surface skins, films and molded parts. It increases passenger comfort, guaranteeing high qualityappearance and soft contours, and gives an excellent and pleasant soft touch.

Very valuable, very fine, transparent, lightfast and scratch-resistant, and cost-effective to produce. A crystal clear grouting made with the PU systemElastocoat® considerably reduces the number of conventional productionstages and gives vehicle cockpits a particular flair.

Sprayed skins for dashboards and door side panels in Elastoskin® in the Buick Lucerne, Cadillac STS, DTS, CTS, or Nissan Quest, and slush skins in the TPU Elastollan® in the Landrover Discovery and Sport are further evidence of the excellent look, tactile properties and versatility of application and design.

When driving, comfort is important. Elastoflex® W in seat cushions, armrestsand headrests contributes to fatigue-free driving in the most pleasant of manners. Not only does polyurethane foam have excellent absorptioncharacteristics, it also guarantees minor resilience loss and an optimal

Elastoflex® W acoustic cover plates protect people and material.

Elastic foams made with the PU soft foam system Elastoflex® W, protectagainst the heat and noise of the engine compartment. The foams ensurestress-free driving, are resistant to high temperatures and avoid unpleasantvibrations, thus contributing to a marked increase in safety and comfort. Fresh ideas: Elastofoam® I air filters and radial filters.

The filter material with its foamed edge is fitted precisely and sealed inplace both perfectly and reliably.

Enjoy a comfortable and quiet ride. The PU systems Elastoflex® W for backfoam linings and the semi-rigid Elastoflex® E for headliners ensure a notice-able increase in comfort through noise and vibration absorption as well asan evident dampening of airborne sound.
