Calvary Christian's Perfect Season2017 FHSAA 4A STATE CHAMPIONS Record: 30 - 0
Calvary Christian put the finishing touches on a perfect baseball season Saturday, May 27th, defeatingPensacola Catholic 11-1 in six innings to win the Class 4A state championship. The Warriors finished theseason 30-0 and claimed the school's first state championship in any team sport. This is the first baseball statechampionship for Pinellas County since Dunedin won in 2008.

BayCare Improves the Health andWellness of HEP Residents
Nurses and medical students from BayCare Alliant Hospital inDunedin led a full health fair at HEP this May, teaching residents howto better manage their personal health and wellness.
There were a wide variety of healthcare professional in attendance,including specialists from "Stop Smoking Florida," whichprovides tools and resources to end nicotine addiction, along with bloodpressure screenings, cholesterol screenings, oral hygiene techniques,nutrition tips and much more. With more than 70 HEP residents inattendance, the day-long health fair brought a wealth of knowledge toan undeserved population.
The fair was so well received that "Stop Smoking Florida" will bereturning to HEP in June, providing information and handing out freenicotine patches and lozenges.
TD Late Shift - PSTA
TD Late Shift provides 23 door-to-door trips every month between an employee's home and place of work from10:00 pm to 6:00 am. This grant-funded program is for employees who make less than 150% of the povertylevel and lack their own transportation. It provides safe, on-demand rides to/from work when most transit busesare not running.
Here are additional details:
TD Late Shift is for riders who enroll in and use the state-funded Transportation Disadvantagedprogram.To sign up potential riders for the TD Late Shift program, please call 727-540-1900 and choose the TDLate Shift (option 6).Provides one additional daytime taxi/Uber ride for urgent, life-sustaining trips such as to the doctor,pharmacy or to work if called in last-minute.Rides are provided county-wide by Uber (free), United Taxi (first $20 covered) or Care Ride (for personswith wheelchairs)To sign-up or have a PSTA employee visit your organization to help enroll staff and teach people how touse the program (esp. the smartphone Apps), please call 727-540-1900, ext. 6
