It has been over five years since Ive designed a Paisley collection and they seem to be in every

fashion and home decorating magazine that I open! We went back to the drawing board and came with a new collection called Perfect Paisley. We named the collection Perfect Paisley because theylook perfect on anything whether its clothing, home decor or quilts. For this collection we decidedadd the Perfect Paisley designs to clothing that we purchased. Since the projects we created are on clothing we decided to give you our Fashion Workbook tutoon the CD-Rom. The Fashion Workbook goes aver every aspect of embroidering on garments. Ywill learn how to open and close jeans and blazers and how to use templates.

Perfect PaisleyChoosing colors for Perfect Paisley

You will notice that on the design pages that follow that we used a lot of different colorcombinations for the Paisley designs. We followed a simple formula. First we chose our appliquecolors and then we chose 6 tonal colors that went with each applique. You will see versions in ta

blue, pink, purple, grey and green. Since the design elements are all abstract it doesnt matter wh

color goes where, they will all look good. The color steps on the design pages tell you where theappliques are and then where the shades of color are.
