Nail FungusNail fungus (Onychomycosis ) is an extremely com-mon condition impacting 6-8% of the adult popula-tion. It is the most common nail disease and accounts for roughly half of all nail abnormalities. The disease causes the nail to thicken and discolor, causing aes-thetic concern, and may lead to nail brittleness and pain.
