Employee Stock Ownership Plan Beneficiary Designation

As an Employee Owner you reserve the right to change your beneficiary at any time by signing a

new designation of beneficiary form and filing it with the Company. To ensure your ESOP

beneficiary designation form is accurate; (i.e. if you have experienced a major life event including

marriage, divorce, birth, death, etc.) it is important to update your primary and secondary

beneficiary(ies) regarding your ESOP benefits.

If you would like to make a change to your ESOP beneficiary designation form, please contact Kyle

Kuczynski, ESOP Plan Administrator, at ext. 2802 or 812-482-0802. Kyle will be happy to assist

HOW WAS OUR QUALITY IN 2016 AND 2017 SO FAR?

DID WE MEET OUR TARGETS? By Chris Woodard, Quality Manager

The following are Quality Objectives that are tracked and posted each month. These objectives were chosen because of the impact that they have on the company’s ability to maintain customer satisfaction and also on profitability. It is important for each employee-owner to know what these are and also to know that they can contribute to improvements for each of them.

· Worker’s Comp Expense - The safety of our team members is our most important meas-ure. As the workplace becomes safer, the worker's comp measure will reflect this improvement. The result for 2016 was $0.20 per hour which matches the target of $0.20 per hour but was slightly higher than the result of $0.19 in 2015. Stay safe!

· Internal On-Time Delivery % - This measure is the overall result of how well we make ship-ments to our customers according to their schedules. On-time shipments means customer satis-faction. Ongoing results will be posted monthly on department bulletin boards.

· Total Rejects (Parts per Million) - This is a measure of how many parts are rejected per mil-lion pieces produced. Total rejects includes all parts plant-wide (molded, extruded, lathe-cut gas-kets and TPE parts). Our result for 2016 was 23,343 parts per million with a goal set at 15,000. For 2017 so far the total PPM is 25,597.

· Absenteeism - Managing a department is much easier when everyone shows up for work. Machines keep running making it easier to meet customer schedules which will lead to customer satisfaction. The result for 2016 was 6.6% which is much higher than the target of 2.5%. Help to keep this measure as low as possible.

2016/2017 Departmental Quality Results

· Molded Rejects % (Press Dept., Trim Dept.) - The result for 2016 was 5.5% which exceed-ed the goal of 4.6%. So far in 2017 the measure is 3.6%. Several improvement projects are in progress.

· Lathe-Cut Rejects % (Extruding Dept., Mandrelling Dept., Grinding Dept., and Cutting Dept.) - The result for 2016 was .16% rejects with a goal set at .50%. So far in 2017 the result is .06%. Keep up the good work!

· Extruded Rejects % (Extruding Dept., Washer 2 Dept.) - The result for 2016 was 1.0% with a goal of 0.5%. So far in 2017 the result is .12% which is lower.

· TPE Rejects % (TPE Dept.) - The result for 2016 was 2.4% with a target of 2.0%. This is an decrease over 2015 which was 4.4%. So far in 2017, the result is closer to the target at 2.3%.

As always your inputs for improvements in any department are welcomed and very much appreci-ated. Let’s work together in all departments to help reach our quality goals and also to continue to meet our quality policy of Customer Satisfaction.

JUST A FEW OF THE MANY HEALTH BENEFITS OF APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

While the uses for white vinegar are plentiful, apple cider vinegar has arguably even more benefits. Its wide-ranging benefits include everything from curing hiccups to alleviating cold symptoms, and helping with health con-cerns including diabetes, cancer, heart problems, high cholesterol and weight issues. Below are just a few of its remedies.

Helps cure an upset stomach.

For an upset stomach, sip on some apple cider vinegar mixed with water. Apple cider vinegar contains pectin which can help soothe intestinal discomfort.

Helps cure hiccups.

Take a teaspoonful of apple cider vinegar; its sour taste could stop a hiccup in its tracks.

Helps soothes a sore throat.

As soon as you feel the prickle of a sore throat, employ germ-busting apple cider vinegar to help head off the infec-tion. Most germs cannot survive in the acidic environment vinegar creates. Either mix with water or take by the tablespoon every couple of hours.

Helps lower cholesterol.

As more research is being done, some studies have shown that the acetic acid in the vinegar lowered bad choles-terol in laboratory rats. Another study in Japan found that half an ounce of apple cider vinegar a day lowered cho-lesterol.

Helps prevent indigestion.

Mix 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar and a glass of warm water and drink 30 minutes before you eat.

Helps clear a stuffy nose.

It contains potassium which thins mucus and the acetic acid in it prevents germ growth, which could contribute to nasal congestion. Mix a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and drink to help sinus drainage.

Helps in aiding of weight loss.

The acetic acid suppresses your appetite, increases your metabolism and reduces water retention. Scientists also theorize that apple cider vinegar interferes with the body’s digestion of starch, which means fewer calories enter the bloodstream.

Helps boost energy.

Next time you feel fatigue setting in, add a tablespoon or two of apple cider vinegar to a glass of chilled vegetable drink or a glass of water to boost your energy.

Go to www.rd.com/health/wellness/apple-cider-vinegar-benefits/ for more health benefits of apple cider vinegar.
