P.E/PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT & MOVEMENT Children learn to adapt their body- language to particular situations, or working with people with special needs. LEARNING OUTCOMES Children learnt group and pair work. Children practiced their digital skills in working with the Internet. Children’s communicating skills were improved, both in their native language and in English. Children learnt the importance of being generous and share with others within the community and not only. They learnt responsibility towards the society they live in. LEARNING ENVIRONMENT School and community. LANGUAGE & LITERACY Children can empathise with others less fortunate than them. They learn responsibility, generosity, and sharing. They can communicate their feelings in a variety of ways: facial expression and body language. Children can use known vocabulary and learn new one while naming the items they collected for the less fortunate or expressing wishes on an important Romanian religious holiday. Children’s English language skills were enhanced through the use of simple sentences relevant to the subject. THE ARTS Children expressed their ideas, thoughts and feelings in works of art such as paintings and drawings, collages and others. THE WORLD AROUND US Children shared knowledge about the Romanian religious celebration. Children learnt the importance of being kind and generous with others as an expression of faith and humanity. MATHEMATICS & NUMERACY Value: Generosity Topic: “People Around Us” Month: December OBJECTIVES - to raise children’s awareness on the idea of generosity and the many ways one can help others. GENEROSITY

Students decided to make orphan children happy on St. Nicolas Day and they collected toys, clothes and sweets to take to the orphanage close to our school.

They gathered together in the school yard, packed everything in cars and left for the orphanage.

There, they gave the children their gifts and brought a big smile on their faces.They felt great and learnt that it is sometimes better to give than to get!

Other pupils went to a different school for disabled children. They brought them sweets and toys and helped them make Christmas decorations.
