Field InformationOur flying site is located at 14501 N. Old Galena Road, just north of the Caterpillar Technical Center. From the intersection of old Galena Road and Cedar Hills Drive, drive about one mile north, our sign is on the West side of the road, turn left (West) at the power lines. The field is about 1/4 mile on your right. See the map on next panel.
Our flying site is a Peoria Park District property, donated to the Park District by the Forest Park Foundation.

Peoria RC Modelers is an Academy of Model Aeronautics sanctioned radio control model flying club. We fly almost every day during the summer, weather permitting. Members fly all types of model aircraft including fixed wing, helicopters, quadcopter and sail planes. In addition, we host a number of events including war birds, combat and pylon racing. Flight TrainingFor those new to the hobby, we suggest the use of one of several RC flight simulator computer programs. You will be a proficient flyer sooner and reduce the risk of the loss of an aircraft. No cost flight instruction is a club benefit. Club and AMA rules and Club by laws are followed at all times. Flying begins after 8 am and continues until sunset. AMA membership is required unless training with a club instructor.

Club Meetings - First Wednesday MonthlyClub business is conducted at the monthly meeting and a program or show and tell. Members are encouraged to bring models for show and tell or for building and detailing suggestions.May through September Meetings:7:00 p.m. at the flying field.October through April Indoor Meetings:Order food at 6pm (optional) Meeting at 7:00pm, check our web site for indoor meeting location.
