Reports 1908329001 Advisement Report Synchronization Option for Enrollment Record does not generate new report

An advisement report is generated for the student. The student logs into self service and enrolls in a class from My Requirements. Student logs off and later logs back in. Again student enrolls from My Requirements. The report does not regenerate, so the status column is not updated for the enrolled course.

The PreBuild code for component SAA_SS_DPR_ADB_SR has been modified to refresh the advisement report to make it work like component SAA_SS_DPR_ADB.

Manage People 503651002 Deletion of External Degree Data in Advancement Causes Buffer error in Admissions

External Degree information recorded by Advancement can be deleted at the External Org level. However, if admissions external education data exists for the same External Org, that data is orphaned.

PeopleCode was added to ACAD_HISTORY.EXT_ORG_ID.FieldChange to prevent the AV_EXT_DEGREE component from executing code that belongs to other components. Component PeopleCode was also added to AV_EXT_DEGREE to allow the deletion of Admissions rows when an ACAD_HISTORY row is deleted or when the EXT_ORG_ID field on the ACAD_HISTORY row is changed.

Manage People 1788392001 Changes to be made to the Audits Tab in the File Attachments grid

Created By and Updated By fields in the Audits Tab of File Attachments should display the name of the User and not the Empl Id or the User Id. Currently it displays PS for the Created By and Updated By fields which should not be so.

The InsertSearchChar function in cccsrch.sqc was updated to upper case any email address values provided. The SCC_SM_SEARCH.DERIVED_HCR_SM.SM_CHAR_INPUT fieldchange event was also modified to upper case any email address entered by the user on the Search/Match integrated component and the LoadSMBatchTbls function in the FUNCLIB_CS.SQL_TEXT FieldFormula was updated to use the EMAIL_ADDR_VW view instead of the EMAIL_ADDRESSES table when constructing the SQL text.

Manage People 1828164001 Additional field needed for attachments feature

The users would like to have an additional date field added to the various attachment pages. The users would like to see the date default to today's date, but have the ability to select the date that the document was created so people can sort/ filter search results by date of the document. This is especially helpful when you are scanning an older document from legacy files. The users currently have to rename the document with a smart code with the date as the leading characters in the name (i.e. 20081104_Delrossi_1232212), in order to preserve the date of the document for searches/sorts.

A new Document Date field was added to the SCC_ATCH_SBR sub record. Several pages in Contributor Relations were also modified to allow users to view/update the document date. The Constituent attachment and Prospect attachment components now allow users to filter the attachments listed in the grid by the document date.

A list of new eligible CIP Codes for the 2009-2010 SMART grant was published in August 2009. Approximately 55 new codes need to be added to the CIP Code table for SMART grant.

This modification is now an official part of the production system.

SFA_RECV_VET_BEN and SFA_VET_BEN_TYPE were the two specific fields mentioned, that the customer would like to have available in the view.

ISIR 1871748001 Unsaved data error being issued after running INAS on certain ISIRs for 2009-2010

Component: ISIR_CORRPIA10. For some ISIRs, after running INAS and the 'SAVED' message appearing on the upper right corner of the page, users are receiving the message when attempting to exit the component: "You have unsaved data on this page".

ISIR 1872147002 Untaxed income figures changing to Blank when $0 entered

When correcting any of the Untaxed Income field, such as Tax Deferred Pension, to $0 after INAS is run the value is displayed as blank. The correct value is written to ISIR_STUDENT and ISIR_PARENT but the display is confusing to users as Blank is different than $0. The page is ISIR_PIA_CS1_10.

Created 17 new fields and applied the Blank to zero logic for these fields in ISIR_CORRPIA11 SavePreChange and rowinit peoplecode for all the new fields




ISIR 1874522001 ISIR Fields are not correctable to blank

Selected ISIR numeric fields are not correctable to blank, which is a valid field value according to the Department of Education's Application Processing System Specifications. This causes certain INAS edits to incorrectly function as the edit/reject criteria depends on the assessment of a blank value.

Created 17 new fields and applied the Blank to zero logic for these fields in ISIR_CORRPIA11 SavePreChange and rowinit peoplecode for all the new fields

ISIR 1875857001 Missing @ and . in email address when clicking INAS button on ISIR Corrections

If a parent has not entered a complete email address on the FAFSA clicking the INAS button online will return the following error message. "The email address must contain @ and . characters (14100 895)." INAS does not run once this message is issued. If a user is just running INAS online to adjust a budget duration or other FM extension option they must create an ISIR Correction which isn't necessary since the email address is not something that is required.

PROFILE 1438336002 Add a 'Call INAS' option to Profile Data Load Parms

Customers would like to be able to have 'Call INAS' option on the Profile Data Loan Parm page. Because IM is delivered before FM, users want to be able to call INAS at time of Profile Load, but not call INAS for FM until much later.

Added a new Store INAS Calc Request checkbox on the PROFILE data load parameters 2011 to allow the user to determine whether they want to enter a row in record INAS_CALC_REC.

PROFILE 1807919002 Fix tab order on IM pages Tab order should be from left to right, top to bottom (like the pages of a book) on all of the IM pages, starting with the first field on the top left and finishing with the last field on bottom right (across all groupboxes). Currently, the tab order is top to bottom, left to right on most groupboxes.

PROFILE 1824419002 Budgets break because PROFILE Load doesn't load ASR school codes.

If COLLEGE-CODE (pos 1 - 4) doesn't match any of the school codes listed in pos. 1051 - 1100, the PROFILE Load routine still adds the record to the active IM tables. However, Budgets break because it doesn't find the corresponding match. The COLLEGE-CODE is listed in the Additional School Request (ASR) section of the layout (1101 - 1140). Budgets needs the corresponding ASR match in order to build the Housing Budget Item.

RTIVF 1877867001 Pct.TIV Aid Earned and changes made to the values in the sub page are not being saved

When making changes to Period of Adjustment and Total Days the changes are not getting saved after returning to the page. The calculation to the percent earned stays unchanged after the changes, however the default values are restored thus losing the auditablity of overriding the setup values to these fields. These values should be saved once made so that whenever you go back to the page you know a change was made from the policy.

Have added the Override flags to identify whether it’s a calculated value or the changed ones. Also delivered an App Engine to update the override flgs for previous Aid Years.

VTAC Offer File Changes for the 2009/2010 Year. Deliverable maintains the 2008/2009 format with minor changes for additional elements - i.e. institutions will need to request the pre 2010 format.

AUS - TAC Loads 1907398001 TAC Post not initializing variables for DEST Number Map and VTAC Phone Update Problematic

The TAC Post process inserts previous education data into SSR_STDNT_DATA from FACT codes via the DEST Number Mapping configuration. If an applicant has no FACT code for one of those mappings, the value is posted from the previous applicant. Errors are also occurring in certain circumstances (update to existing ID) when there is a telephone number in the VTAC file but no existing phone for the ID to be updated for the phone type specified.

Added a new step at beginning of section PRFCTDAT of appengine program TAC_POST_LIB and added peoplecode to initialize SSR_STDNT_DATA previous education data fields. Also modified SAD_TCPSTANZ.UpdPrs.Step01.appengine program peoplecode to rectify issue with blank phone(PHONE_DAY).

AUS - TAC Loads 1921606001 Missing object in SAD_TAC_SUB_LAYOUT File Layout

QTAC has provided new file layouts for which most of the changes have been delivered. The missing change means that the subject file layout is incorrect and the app engine process runs to error because the wrong values are being mapped to the wrong fields. The missing field is in the QTAC-provided file XX_subj_file_4 and the field name is State.

The file Layout SAD_TAC_SUB_LAYOUT was modified to include the new state field. There were also changes to the corresponding suspense and candidate records(SAD_TAC_SUS_SUB, SAD_TAC_CD_SUB) and pages(SAD_TAC_SUS_SUBJ, SAD_TAC_CD_SUBJ) to display the new state field.




Application Processing 1724417001 View on academic program SAD_APP_PRG_VWL in application entry incorrect

When adding an application and clicking to find the academic program on page ADM_APPL_PROG_ENT, PeopleSoft doesn't show the related language description, but only the base language description. Checking the related language view SAD_APP_PRG_VWL shows that the description is taken from ACAD_PROG_TBL instead of ACAD_PROG_LANG.

Modified the related language view SAD_APP_PRG_VWL to take the descr and descrshort field from ACAD_PROG_LANG.

Application Processing 1764663001 Data Inconsistency error when adding an applicant if preferred email address or phone checkbox is not checked.

When adding an application a mistake is made, for example not checking one of the email as preferred. When the user corrects that mistake and then tries to save the application, error shows up " Data being added conflicts with existing data". The same issue exists with phone numbers.

The peoplecode in ADM_APPL_PROG.ACAD_PROG.SavePreChange, which creates prospect records for the application being saved was modified to prevent it from saving multiple rows of ADM_PRSPCT_CAR.

UK - UCAS 1892534001 UCAS Decision Letter Text does not format correctly using Firefox

When using Firefox, HTML space tags are displayed in the decision letter text (SAD_UC_STD_OFF.SAD_UC_LETTER_TEXT). Several of the lines have '&nbsp' at the start, which is incorrect.

Replaced "&nbsp" with " " the additional semi colon resolves the issue




UK - UCAS 1893587001 UCAS Decision Letter Text does not format correctly when lower-case letter entered as Grade/Mark

Navigate to Student Admissions > UCAS Processing > UCAS Decision Processing > Decision Processing and search for an existing applicant. When entering the Grade/Mark on the Decision Processing page in lower-case letters, the value is not translated correctly in the Letter Text. For example, if 'q' is entered, the Letter Text is displayed as 'q'. It should be systematically changed to upper case - Q - so that it is translated as 'Merit'.

Modify the Field SAD_UC_GRD_MRK, to set formattype=UPPERCASE. This impacted the following records SAD_UC_OFF_ELEM.SAD_UC_GRD_MRK and SAD_UC_DEC_ELEM.SAD_UC_GRD_MRK. All records have been included for the tables to be regenerated

UK - UCAS 1906709001 UCAS: Transaction Processing errors due to run control issue

The Transaction Processing process returns an error when the user selects an existing run control ID and fails to make any changes to the detail run control settings.

Modified the Record : SAD_UC_RUNCNTL.INSTITUTION to remove the default value for the field INSTITUTION.Added the code to default INSTITUTION field in the components SAD_UC_TRN_PROC and SAD_UC_IMP_REF_PRC , record.rowinit event.

UK - UCAS 1907593001 UCAS Import - Ethnicity is not picking up the correct mapping

The UCAS Import results in an error message when importing the ethnicity data. Ethnic Mapping not set up for Institution and Ethnic Code (14250,71). The ODBC guide from UCAS indicates when the applicants have the value of 10 the process needs to look at the value SAD_UC_HESACODE in the mapping table and not SAD_UC_ETHNIC.

Modified the logic to validate the incoming value against the HESA codes rather than UCAS codes in PS_SAD_UC_ETHNIC and Map to the CS Ethnic Group using the HESA code rather than UCAS code in PS_SAD_UC_ETHNIC.




UK - UCAS 1909759001 UCAS Import - Residency Data not imported correctly

A. When the CS admission application is being created, the mandatory parent STDNT_CAREER record is not being created. This is a problem in the admissions API.

B. Ivstark.Residency is used to create CS RESIDENCY_OFF record for which EMPLID, ACAD_CAREER and ADMIT_TERM are PrimaryKey fields .Currently, the ivstark import code is obtaining the acad_career and admit_term from SAD_UC_IVSTARC record if available, else from Entryyear/month mapping. Since ivstarC base record will not be present at the time of creation of IVSTARK, residency record is always being created with the entryyear/month mapping.

The code for getting acad_career/admit_term from ivstarc record is taking the first choice record without filtering for active status and correct effective date.

There are issues with code for deriving it from entryyear/month mapping. It is not filtering entryyear/month mapping record by UCAS System code and hence getting the record with earliest term start date Even if it is filtered based

Modified the code to create the parent STDNT_CAREER record whenever CS admission application is created from UCAS Application package (for Admissions) SAD_ADM_APPL:Accessors:Application class




UK - UCAS 1911241001 UCAS Reference Data Load fails on Step SAD_UC_BASE1.SCHCNT.Step03

When running the Import Reference Data process (SAD_UC_IMREF), the reference data load fails on Step SAD_UC_BASE1.SCHCNT.Step03 when trying to add contact information for schools.

The error is caused when collection.currentitem() method returns null. To rectify this issue, after using collection.currentitem() method, checking if the method returned a not null collectiondataitem. If not, then insert a new effdt record for the org_location/org_contact.

UK - UCAS 1911987001 UCAS: RX Transactions with Reject decision are exported to TRANIN with decision = A

When running Transaction Processing to export transactions from the local transactions table (PS_SAD_UC_TRANIN) to TRANIN at UCAS the decision value of RX transactions is written as A (accepted) even when the decision value of the local transaction is R (rejected). Since both A and R are now valid decision values for an RX transaction the value from the local record should be written to UCAS rather than a hardcoded value of A.

Modified the UCAS Transaction export to remove the following code "SAD_UC_TRAN_AET.SAD_UC_DECISION = "A"; " from "When = "RX" " condition. This code was hard coding decision to A for RX transactions during export. Now it has been modified to so that the decision present in SAD_UC_TRANIN will be exported to tranin as is.

UK - UCAS 1913841001 UCAS Import Applicant Data process fails with unique constraint error

When importing the data from ivStarPQR the Applicant Import fails with a unique constraint error on inserting into PS_SAD_UC_I_IVPQR.

Removed the primary keys from staging tables SAD_UC_I_IVPQR, SAD_UC_I_IVUNRS. Removed the existing processing logic for the two views. Now the generic package SAD_UC_STG is used to import the data with code to handle the existing rows in the staging table and duplicates

UK - UCAS 1914762001 UCAS: Applicant Summary page name searches to ignore special characters

When searching for UCAS applicants by name users need to be able to search for combination such as O Leary, OLeary and O'Leary where the spelling in the person name record may or may not include the space or special characters like the apostrophe.

Modified the logic to remove the special characters and spaces from both sides before match the names. Now O'Leary will be converted to OLEARY before the value is matched against the existing records. The same conversion will be done for the existing values before matching them.

The matching of IVSTARJ staging records as part of the Import Applicant Data process needs to compare the UCAS forenames value to FIRST_NAME with any middle name values stripped out from the UCAS value to ensure values are matched correctly.

Modified the code to check if forename contains multiple names separated by space. If yes then Convert ivstarJ.fnames into firstname,middlename and then compare trim(firstname) with the CS personal_data.first_name before performing the comparison

UK - UCAS 1918075001 UCAS: Import Applicant Data fails when updating GTTR Course change

When the Applicant Import is running for GTTR it fails with the following error when updating a GTTR Course Change: Class Record: assumed property SAD_UC_DECISION is not a valid field name. (2,274) SAD_UC_APPL.UCGTAppView.OnExecute Name:updateBaseRecord PCPC:8328 Statement:108Some of the fields in the GTTR records are different to the UCAS fields so these need to be reflected in the code. Student Admissions -> UCAS Processing -> Import Applicant Data -> check 'Import Application Choices' box for GTTR

The field names for UCAS and GTTR are different and an update statement for UCAS did not work for the GTTR table with a different structure. Modified the code to work for the GTTR table structure as well by using the SAD_UC_GT_DECISION field.




UK - UCAS 1919136001 Rows added to Maintain Applicants when a change is processed via a UCAS / GTTR decision

Rows are added to the Maintain Applicants component when a Course change, Campus change or Entry Point Change are processed via a UCAS / GTTR decision. No additional rows are added when an Entry Year change is processed and users think this is the correct logic. In this example the process checks the incoming values against what is already in Maintain Apps rather than against the ivStarC / ivStarG data in PS_SAD_UC_IVSTARC / PS_SAD_UC_IVSTARG which is what happens in the other examples.

Modified the logic when importing entrypoint updates, to update CS application only if ivstarc.entrypoint is updated and CS application.academic_level is updated.Also modified the logic when importing course/campus updates, to update CS application only if ivstarc.course/campus is updated and CS application.prog/campus/plan/splan are updated.

UK - UCAS 1920270001 Incorrect / Invalid rows added to Maintain Apps via UCAS Applicant Import after confirmations

When sending a UCAS Confirmation Accept decision the transaction process correctly adds the confirmation row to Maintain Apps, so for CF applicant Accept Firm is added and CI applicant Accept Insurance is added. The details in ivStarC are then updated by UCAS and the applicants are changed from CF to UF or CI to UI. Then when the Applicant Import is run with the 'Import Applicant Choices' checked it adds or tries to add invalid or incorrect rows. For the Firm applicant it tries to add an Unconditional Firm row, as the Accept Firm row in our config is ADMT - UFCN this errors as another ADMT row is not valid (see error in UCAS_Conf_Examples.doc). For the Insurance applicant it adds an Unconditional Insurance row but again this is not required as this is an 'Applicant Reply' row. The Confirmation rows should be the final rows on the applicant stack if nothing else happens with the application.

Reply changes are being processed when ivstarc.decision <> null and reply <> null and (reply is updated or decision is updated). Hence even if Reply is not updated but decision is updated, the CS admission application is being updated. This logic has been changed to update CS application only when REPLY is updated. The same changes are being done for both UCAS and GTTR.




UK - UCAS 1920632001 UCAS SAD_UC_IMPAP and SAD_UC_IMREF crash for import from institution with no unit grade result views

The SAD_UC_IMPAP and SAD_UC_IMREF processes are crashing when users try to import reference table and applicant details for an institution who have opted not to receive Unit Grade Results. It looks like there would need to be configuration to exclude these from the import, as the unit results views CVREFUNITS and IVUNITRESULTS do not exist at UCAS for that institution.

Created a new field SAD_UC_IMP_UNITS. Modified the UCAS Configuration page to add a new field "Unit Results Import". This allows the user to skip the import of the unit related reference data tables cvrefunits and ivunitresults.

UK - UCAS 1922574001 UCAS Decision Processing is adding two commas rather than one when the Comment field is used

The Text field can be used to describe the condition, but it isn't used in creating the transaction code. In the example where the grades AAA are separated from the Comment by two commas occurs whether or not the Text field is populated. The code is adding two commas, rather than one, when the Comment field is used.

Modified the code to add a comma before the comment only if it is not already present.

UK - UCAS 1923883001 UCAS School page performance is slow

The page performance for the new School page (Set Up SACR > Product Related > Recruiting and Admissions > UCAS > Reference Data > School) is very slow and takes around 2 minutes to bring up a record once you've clicked on it in the search.

The Key structure was missing a particular field. Modified the record SAD_UC_SCHCNT: made SAD_UC_SCHOOL and EXT_ORG_ID as Alternate search keys.




UK - UCAS 1925689001 On UCAS Quick Decision Entry page, conditional offer should require details in decision code box

An enhancement is needed on the UCAS Quick Decision Entry page (SAD_UC_QDEC) so that if a decision of Conditional Offer is selected, the user is not allowed to save unless condition is added in the Decision Code box. The navigation is Student Admissions > UCAS Processing > UCAS Decision Processing > Quick Decision Entry.

1. UCAS/GTTR Initial Decision Entry page: Added validations: a) if decision is entered as 'F' (UCAS), G/E/M/S (GTTR) then comment field is disabled, else it is enabled. b) When saving if Decision=C and both comment and Offer code are empty then error is thrown and record is not saved. c) When saving, Transaction code is being derived correctly to include comment field in quotes.2. Other 1765198001 SAIP: SAE_EVENT_DT field should be removed from the Person extension child tables

The SAE_EVENT_DT field was originally added to the Person extension child tables to serve the purpose of an UpdatePerson service. For example, if a change is made to an address, the address extension table keeps the old value (past SAE_EVENT_DT) and adds the new value with the new SAE_EVENT_DT. The SAE_EVENT_DT was going to serve as indicator of what is the old and the new values, so that both pieces of info could be posted inside the UpdatePerson service.

For technical reasons, it was decided not to use UpdatePerson and instead use ReplacePerson service. With the replace solution, all personal data is sent (not just the address data to continue with the example above). Therefore there is no need to keep storing multiple values differentiated by the SAE_EVENT_DT.

Removing the SAE_EVENT_DT field will keep the design clean and avoid possible maintenance issues with the extra data.

Update return messages in order to process various types of return statuses (success, partial success, failure, etc.) Especially in the case when an error occurs upon sending an event or snapshot message, there is a need to ascertain what downstream repercussions a status may have before proceeding with further processing.

Snapshot response messages were included with the status codes in SOAP Header. FullSyncRequestHandler and IncrementalSnapshotHandler app classes were modified to include the Code Major and Code Minor response status messages.

NameSpaces specified for xml elements in SOAP request should be considered while parsing the IB request messages.

The SAIP relies on a 1-1 correspondence between "parent" tables in the core CS architecture (e.g. CLASS_TBL) and the SAIP extension tables (e.g. SAE_CLASS_EXT). Where institutions have customized existing business processes or added customized business processes that therefore do not have the delivered SAIP event capture triggers it is possible that extension table rows are not being properly written in which case that data will not participate in the SAIP integration. To assist in troubleshooting and maintenance we are delivering a Synchronization utility (application engine) that will synchronize parent and extension tables.

SAE_EXT_SYNC App Engine is delivered to synchronize the missing rows from parent records to its Extension records.

Other 1923651001 SAIP: READCOURSEOFFERING posting huge message after CS bundle 14

After applying CS bundle 14, READCOURSEOFFERING messages posted when a new course section is created or deleted are huge (approx 82MB). This is the problem the bundle was claiming to have fixed. Analysis shows that a couple of join criteria were removed from the Oracle database version the SQL on the SAE_CRSOFFR_VW record.

DeleteCourseSection event is triggering the large xml payload with the same data of a single row because of the join conditions exist in the Oracle DB Specific SQL of SAE_CRSOFFR_VW record. The Join conditions in SAE_CRSOFFR_VW record were modified to eliminate the Cartesian product of resulting rows from the Query.




Other 1927831001 SAIP: Savepoint in the data file name from Incremental Snapshot is different than the save point used in response message

When an incremental snapshot is generated, a datetime savepoint is used to generate a unique filename for the resulting snapshot. A datetime savepoint is also used in the response message to the requesting system. Currently, the datetime used in the file name reflects the time that the file was generated, while the datetime used in the response reflects the time when the response was sent, which creates confusion.

SAE_FRAMEWORK.SNAPSHOT.FileManager class was modified to use the same Timestamp as Savepoint returned as part of the snapshot response and also in the file name generated as part of the snapshot generated file.

Set Up 1811438001 SAIP: Allow synchronization files to be FTP'd to multiple locations

In the initial release of the SAIP, only a single FTP location could be defined as part of SAIP Setup. Initial enhancement requests included the ability to FTP files to multiple locations, to allow multiple systems (potentially with different security considerations) to pick up snapshots from unique locations.

As part of Multi Target Integration, FTP location can be configured for each target defined in SAIP application. SAE_TARGET_GENERAL page is delivered to define multiple targets(LMSs) and their corresponding FTP directory paths.

Set Up 1880427001 SAIP: Multi-Target Integration The GA release of the SAIP can be defined as a single target/multi-consumer integration. Although the exposed web services can be consumed by multiple external solutions, all solutions must consume the same data on the same schedule. Multi-Target Integration will allow a granular level control of targeting, meaning the ability to target individual class sections to one or more specified targets.

Multi Target Integration allows to users integrate CS with multiple target systems(LMSs, etc.). Each system is defined as a target within SAIP with specifically defined attributes such as the FTP location of that target, event triggers enabled, end point urls for event drivenintegration, etc. Targets can be scoped at Institution level, Acad Org level and Class Section levels. Snapshots, event driven and grade importing integrations uses the scoping information to integrate the data with the target. The initial release of the SAIP included a hierarchical dependency inthe running of snapshots: CourseTemplate snapshot had to be run before CourseOffering snapshot, etc. Enhancement requests included the ability to run CourseSection snapshots independent of the hierarchy to better enable integration with systems that do not make use of the larger course hieararchy.

Removed all the hierarchical dependencies between CS objects(Group, Course, Person and Enrollments). Removed SAE_LMS_SENT, SAE_PARENT_SENT fields from all the extension records to remove the dependencies in snapshots, incremental snapshots and event driven.

Snapshot Membership 1906766001 SAIP: Initialization Sanpshot run for the first time produces Blank mode in the extract.

The first initialization (Full) snapshot run with a snapshot date produces a large number of membership rows with blank modes. However, the equivalent membership extension row contains the value for the mode, like A". Running the initialization snapshot for membership a second time seems to correct the blank modes.

SAE_MEMBERSHIP_SERVICE.TRANSFORM.EnrollmentTransformManager is modified to verify the SAE_MODE field value and if the SAE_MODE value is NULL then it returns the mode as changed instead of blank.

Script upd739506_13.dms was delivered as part of the resolution to incident report ID 609533003. This script is designed to delete orphan rows from the INSTR_TERM_DTL record. It is not excluding non-course assignments added to the workload component for such assignments as Advisement, Dean, Department Chairs, Research, etc. Because it is not excluding the non-course assignments, they are erroneously deleted. This results in the loss of critical data.

Consolidated Statistics 1802559001 Consolidated statistics overwrites ETHNIC-GROUP-SR value of '7' for international (alien) students with ETHNIC-GROUP value

SRPCCONS.cbl module moves a value of '7', for International Students, to ETHNIC-GROUP-SR OF BIND-DATA OF I-STUDCON. This occurs in the 6212-GET-CITIZENSHIP SECTION. However, the section that is executed next, 6215-GET-PERSONAL-VIEW-INFO SECTION, appears to overlay the ETHNIC_GROUP_SR fields with the Student's Ethnic Group even if they are an International Student. Thus, consolidated statistics never identifies students with alien/international status.

Changed the processing order in SRPCCONS.cbl to first calculate the ethnic group value then update the value reported to international if the student's citizenship status is Alien Temporary.




Consolidated Statistics 1874309002 Consolidated Statistics: IPEDS (U.S.) Ethnicity Reporting Changes

New IPEDS ethnicity reporting standards require changes in the way the Consolidated Statistics process reports a student's ethnicity. These changes require modifications to the current ETHIC_GROUP_SR values (switching from a 7 code schema to a 9 code schema) and changes to the way the process handles reporting for Hispanic/Latino and student who report two or more races.

Modified the logic in SRPCCONS.cbl to correctly pull all ETHNIC_DIVERS records to calculate the correct ethnic code for US IPEDS reporting. The new field IPEDS Report will be displayed on the Academic Statistics Type table that must be selected in order for the process to use the new logic to calculate IPEDS ethnicity. This new field is only shown if the country code on the installation table is USA.

Consolidated Statistics 1876472001 Consolidated statistics process not always picking up the active career

If a student is active in two programs, different careers at term start and later is discontinued from one of the programs, consolidated statistics will pick up and report the student under the inactive program if that has the lower primacy number. If there is an active program on the record, the student should be reported under that program regardless of primacy number.

Modified the logic in SRCCCONX.cbl that is used by SRPCCONP.cbl and SRPCCONR.cbl to calculate the correct academic program to use logic similar to the calculation of active programs to calculate which inactive academic program to report if multiple inactive academic programs exist for the student and no active program is found for the reporting period.

If the previously dropped non-enroll is closed Wait List OK is checked the student will be enrolled in the non-enroll component while the others remain in dropped status. Alternatively, if the selected, closed non-enroll was not previously dropped (and wait list OK is checked) the student will be wait listed in the 'new' component and remain in dropped status for the rest.

Modified program SRPCEPRD.cbl to handle the scenario where the enrollment request is waitlisting into a section that is currently in dropped status.

Gradebook 1825850001 Gradebook View My Assignments Display Control Changes

The Enrollment and Shopping Cart date range defined for the term to be available in self service for enrollment activities seems to control the appearance of the terms on the term selection page for View My Assignments page in self service. When the terms are set up not to be displayed in self service, students are unable to select the term to view their assignments and grades for those terms on the View My Assignments and Grades page. Generally the date range defined for the enrollment activity is till the end of the term. If the next term is also not available in self service or if the student is not term activated for the next term, the students can click on the select a class link and check the grades. However, when one of the terms is available, then the students do not have the ability to check grades for other terms.

We removed the IF condition in the PostBuild for component SS_LAM_STD_GR_LST that limits the terms included to those with SSR_SSENRLDISP_BDT <= Current Date and SSR_SSENRLDISP_EDT >= Current Date.




Grading 1505429002 Grade lapse process is requiring Academic Program; should be an optional field.

Curriculum Management > Grading > Grade Lapse. It seems like ACAD_PROG was made a key on RUN_CNTL_SR_LPS as part of some resolution that came out with bundle #1, because of this change the run control page for the grade lapse process is requiring Academic program to be filled in. But according to the PeopleBooks, it still shows that Academic Program on the grade lapse process is an optional field.

Removed "required" edit in field ACAD_PROG in RUN_CNTL_SR_LPS table. Added new peoplecode to prevent submission of blank academic program when a similar entry is present with an academic program.




NLD - BPV 1886457001 Requesting a functionality to be able to enter BPV total hours directly

As delivered, it is only possible to enter the number of hours of training, and the length of the contract in weeks. IBG requests the total number. The BRON interface multiplies the number of hours per week with the number of weeks and this results in the total number of hours. Although this way of working often works out fine for trainings of type BBL-BPV ((in Dutch BBL (=beroeps begeleidende leerweg ( type of education) BPV=training)) (somebody does 4 days per week of training, i.e. 32 hours), it's not suitable to register most BOL- BPV's (in Dutch : BOL=beroepsopleidende leerweg( type of education )), as one does a training of 320 hours within a specific time-frame (e.g. 8 times a week, spread out over half a year). The (average) number of hours per week does not mean anything in this case and is even confusing.

We need the functionality in order to be able enter the number of hours, either via the number of hours per week (independent of training type and work agreements) to select one of both import possibilities (but not both in order to avoid contradictions).

A new field, total number of training (bpv) hours has been added to BPV functionality. field SAD_TOTHRS_BPV_NLD has been added to pages SAD_BPV_CTR_NLD, SAD_BPV_CTR_D1_NLD, SAD_BPV_CT_ADD_NLD and SAD_BPV_CTR_D3_NLD. Peoplecode logic has been added to records SAD_BPV_CTR_NLD and SAD_BPV_STC_NLD to enforce the following logic; if SAD_WEEK_HRS_NLD and SAD_CONTR_LNGT_NLD are not empty then SAD_TOTHRS_BPV_NLD is empty and not in use. The total nbr of hours are calculated and shown as derived field. If SAD_TOTHRS_BPV_NLD is used for direct value entry then the Contract Length and BPV hours per week are emptied and disabled. Normal business practice in Dutch post secondary education is that multiple people within the student administration office create OWO contracts (due the fact that all students require one).When multiple users create OWO contracts simultaneously there have been cases of multiple contracts having the same contract number. We expect this being the case due to the fact that the contract number is populated in the SQR by selecting the highest contract number currently in PS_SAD_STD_CON_NLD and adding 1 to that. When multiple users create contracts simultaneously, the process has not yet committed the new highest contract number so multiple users end up having the same highest contract number.

A commit is included in the SQR srowo1nl right after the insert into PS_SAD_STD_CON_NLD in the procedure Write-Data.

If an enrollment requisite is set up to use a wild card catalog number and subject, the enrollment errors even when the student has met the requisite.

Changed all places where the validation of the catalog number occurred in the student records requisite processing to use the routine SAA_ACADEMIC_ADVISEMENT:AA_CourseList method Formatted_Catalog_Nbr instead of the routine SSR_STUDENT_RECORDS:SR_ClassData:CourseCatalog method Edit_Catalog_Nbr which did not correctly format the catalog number for use in the advisement routines. Also in each place where the call to this routine is used new logic is added to each corresponding entry in FieldEdit PeopleCode to first validation the catalog number and throw an error if the catalog number is not properly formatted and added an entry in FieldChange people to pick up the correct format of the catalog number to be saved in the field. Instructions are included in the bundle to run application engine program UPD782226_A3 which will correctly format all Catalog Number entries used in requisite processing that are formatted incorrectly.




Student Self Service 1796915001 Self-Service Edit: False related component changes detected by edit component in some cases

When student uses the Edit function in SS Enrollment, but fails to select any changes on the Enrollment Preferences page, the system fails to give a message that no changes were selected. It appears as though the student is requesting to swap non-enroll sections. This occurs when the non-enroll section class association values are not equal to 9999 and the student swaps non-enroll sections during the Drop Retain period. When both non-enroll sections of the class are in STDNT_ENRL, the default to the currently enrolled non-enroll on the Related Class section can show the student as being enrolled in section A rather than B. That is, radio button is checked for the dropped related component, 'A', rather than the enrolled section, 'B'. If the student corrects this and checks B an erroneous swap from A to B is submitted (but not processed).

Method StdntClass_Coll for app class SSR_STUDENT_RECORDS:SR_StudentData:StudentTermClasses was modified so that rowset &rs_StdntEnrl is populated excluding dropped classes.




Student Self Service 1808233001 Students cannot change non-enroll sections when Session within Enroll W/Permission Time Period and using Permission Numbers

When the Session is within the Enroll W/Permission Time Period and the course is setup to use Permission Numbers, students cannot change the non-enrollment section of a course in which they are already enrolled (tried using Edit or Swap). The Enrollment Engine returns error "Class is within a Session that now requires Permission to Enroll." There is no place in the Edit process to enter a Permission number. Student's cannot use the Swap function in SS to perform this action. When the course is configured for Student Specific Permissions the Edit function is successful.

The line that assigns &obj_ClassInfo.Class_Career to DERIVED_CLS_DTL.CRSE_CAREER was moved to an earlier part of SSR_CLS_DTLOPT.Activate. This is to ensure that the related display fields are populated properly when they are evaluated.

Student Self Service 1875664002 Issues with Swapping Non-Enrollment components from Swap component when Drop if Enroll enabled

In certain circumstances, students can perform a non-enroll swap transaction on the Swap component by entering a non-enroll class number or selecting a non-enroll class number in class search. If the swap processing option is set to Drop If Enroll, it is possible for such a transaction to wait list the student in the 'swap to' non-enroll component if it closed, while the student remains enrolled in the other components. When this occurs, the student cannot change from wait list to enrolled status and the wait-listed component is effectively orphaned. Since Drop if enroll was not designed for non-enroll swap transactions, these types of swaps need to be processed with a swap action, regardless of the self-service swap processing setting.

Additional code was added in SSR_SSENRL_SWAP(GBL).DERIVED_CLS_DTL.NEXT_PB.FieldChange and SSR_SSENRL_SWAP(GBL).DERIVED_REGFRM1.SSR_PB_ADDTOLIST1.FieldChange to check if any of the sections being swapped to is already in STDNT_ENRL. If it is, the transaction is submitted to the enrollment engine with a 'Swap' action instead of 'Drop if Enroll'.




Term/Cumulative Histo 1917455001 STDNT_CAR_TERM.SSR_CUM_TR_GPA is set to zero after enrolling in first term

When a student has a transfer credit model posted for a term prior to the first enrollment term, and the student has no enrollments in the institution yet, the value of SSR_CUM_TR_GPA is correct on the STDNT_CAR_TERM record. Once the student enrolls in a class via enrollment request or quick enroll or self service, the SSR_CUM_TR_GPA value is set to zero for that term, and for any term with no enrollments between the transfer credit articulation term and the current enrollment term.

Added missing end-if in SRPCCUMM.cbl program that was causing it to require to have gpa in enrollment before it could compute transfer credit gpa.

If the Transcripts are set up to print only Term Activated Careers by checking the "Term Activated Careers Only" flag when an xmlp transcript is generated for a student who is admitted in multiple careers but not term activated for one of the careers the transcript does not honor the "Term Activated Careers Only" flag and prints an extra page with just the header information for the career in which the student is not term activated.

The final derivation step of NATION should consider the Country and COMDATE values along with REDUCEDI. The NULL ERROR value should only be derived if Country = England, Wales or Scotland, REDUCEDI = 00 or 03 and COMDATE is on or after 2007-08-01. Otherwise a null value should be derived. Currently NULL VALUE is being derived where Country = Northern Ireland.

The check for the Country value was not present in the derivation for the NATION filed. The check has now been added. The value for the field is derived only when the country value is England, Wales or Scotland

The module subject entity is not created when constants are used against the subject, cost centre and percentage for the Module Subjects in the HESA Module Data, where there is no data in the actual fields.

The module subject derivation has been modified to skip the derivation step to pick up the value from HESA Module data when the Module record is not created based on the HESA module data. Hence if the value is not present for the Module subject the derivation will move to the next step and pick up the values.

UK - HESA 1921669001 Problem with HESA yearstu calculation when multiple career numbers exist

A student completes a course in one year. The next year the student starts a new course in the same career. The yearstu calculation is incorrectly including the completed course even though it is a different student career number.

Modified the logic to ignore all courses that have been completed prior to the reporting period. The calculation has been modified to ignore all terms that start before the earliest HESA Instance effective date, the only exception to this condition is when there is a linked career.

A new derivation step 6 is added: Map the Approved Academic Load of the most recent activated student term record that overlaps the reporting period to a HESA code value using the HESA Mode mapping and re-number the existing steps 6 and 7 to 7 and 8.

For the HESA ethnicity value, where a student is a returning student (and therefore they have no entry profile), the ethnicity is derived only where the Residency Self Reporting country is GBR. Typically, we have used the finer level of detail there e.g. XG for northern Ireland as the domicile should be at that level of granularity. Ethnicity values should be created where the Residency Self Reporting country is XF, XG, XH, XI, XK, XL, GG, JE, IM (and GBR?).

The field inclusion rule (c) for Student.ETHNIC is updated is derive a value if the Country value of the Residency Self-Report record is one of GBR, XF, XG, XH, XI, XK, XL, GG, JE, or IM.The mapping of Country/State to a HESA code via the APR mapping for records where Country = GBR is removed as the mapping should always be to one of XF, XG, XH, XI, XK, XL, GG, JE, or IM.Similar changes have been made to Student.SCN

Record PeopleCode was modified to allow a user to edit other fields on the Add/Update a Person component when any of the Residential Stat Verification and Name/DOB Verification fields have “BDM” values. Some customers will not resurvey their constituents. A process is needed to allow the customer to select which DIVERS_ETHNIC and ETHNICITY_DTL records should be updated/inserted to bring the data between the two records in sync and to set the HISP_LATINO and IPEDS flags.

Also after delivering Bundles 13 and 20, customers noted an inconsistency in the way the denominators were converted as well as DIVERS_ETHNIC rows without a corresponding ETHNICITY_DTL row. This process will provide the mechanism to cleanse the data as the user prefers.

SEVIS 1893180002 SEVIS Ed Level Change funding source amounts of zero not being handled correctly

When a school does an Educational Level Change and at the same time change one of the funding sources form a non-zero amount to a zero amount, the Export process CCSEVEXT does not include the funding source with zero amount as part of the Educational Level Change event info in the batch XML file that is sent to SEVIS Batch System. As a result, SEVIS Batch System keeps the previous non-zero amount for any funding source that is not included in the event info in the XML file resulting in a discrepancy. The funding source that caused the issue for us was Funds From Other Sources which was non-zero before the educational level change and it was set to zero as part of the education level change. However, the other sources might cause similar issue under same scenario. Here is the answer we got from SEVIS Support regarding the issue:When creating the xml file You should be able to send it up with a 0 in the element for Funds From Other Sources: and this should zero out the funds otherwise if the element is not present it will retain the old funds.
