Removed the field SAA_DESCRLONG from SAA_RPT_CRSA_VW to no longer have two LONG fields in a view. Moved SAA_RPT_CRSL_VW to hold SAA_DESCRLONG that used to be in view SAA_RPT_CRSA_VW. Modified the peoplecode in SAA_ACADEMIC_ADVISEMENT.AA_Report.AA_ReportOutput method AA_CreateReport() that will populate the new scroll created with SAA_RPT_CRSL_VW. Log on and navigate to Academic Advisement > Academic Requirements > Define Academic Requirements. Leaving the fields blank (except for Requirement Usage, which defaults to ADV), click Search. Error is returned.

For Non-USA countries for schemas 3.0 and beyond always send Country code. Check for Country = Canada has been removed.

COD Pell 1952972001 Pell potential over payment situation created after repackaging additional Pell

If a Pell amount is reduced, after it has been accepted by COD, due to Pell being awarded at another school and then an additional Pell award is made that is less than or equal to the original Pell amount reported to COD, the existing Pell Origination is not updated and the <AdditionalEligibilityIndicator> is not set to Y. This then causes COD to create a potential over payment (POP) situation.

Insert a new Pell Origination record if Pell 2 Item type (AEI=’Y’) was added to the award package regardless of total award amount.




Commonline 1884218001 CL4 Loan Validation issue with PS_LN_EDIT_RUNCTL

Navigation: Financial Aid > Loans > CommonLine Management > Validate CL4 Loans. When a new Run Control ID is created on the Validate CL4 Loans page and saved, the PS_LN_EDIT_RUNCTL table is not updated with the newly added row. The resulting problem is that when the user runs the loan validation process (FAPREQRN) , the process completes but there are 'No loans found for validation' even though there are loans that should be picked up for validation.

INAS has been updated to promote the release of Technical Upgrade #2 (TU2), post No. 1 for INAS 2010-11, version T2.a 02/25/10. This posting disseminates source code changes and a new data/results file.

Modifications to the 2010-11 INAS IM/EFM and FM software were performed to correct the following:

FM Auto-Zero EFC, Formulas 4, 5, and 6. The Auto-Zero EFC (Formula 4, 5, or 6) calculation is setting the PRIMARY EFC to "0" (zero), but not the Parent Contribution from Income (PCI), the Parent Contribution from Assets (PCA), the Student Contribution from Income (SCI), and the Student Contribution from Assets (SCA) as expected. In this case, INAS is returning -9s instead of 0 (zero). This is a display issue only and does not impact need analysis results.

EFM and FM Auto-Zero EFC for a Divorced/widowed Independent Student. The Simple Needs Test (SNT) is excluding divorced/widowed independent students from the calculation. As a result, a divorced/widowed independent student with dependents other than a

Fields PRORATED_PAR_CTRB and PRORATED_STU_CTRB on Record STDNT_AWD_PER are incorrect after applying the critical INAS fix recently. When INAS calculates, some students with ISIR value defaults set to -99,999,999 have incorrect values in the PRORATED_PAR_CTRB and PRORATED_STU_CTRB fields on Record STDNT_AWD_PER. For example, a student with a correct PC of 8,677 is calculated to have a Prorated PC of 92,759.

INAS-IM 1947179001 IM INAS - INAR field for Elementary/Secondary Tuition Paid is not being initialized to Zeros prior to addition operation

There is an issue with the program IMCALC10.CBL. The INAR field for Elementary/Secondary Tuition Paid is not being initialized to Zeros prior to ADDition operation. This issue has been reported to The College Board and they are aware of the problem and indicate it will be corrected in an upcoming release.

Corrected code received from College Board as part of 2010-2011 INAS Technical Upgrade #1 - Posting #4.




INAS-IM 1952386001 Issue with SFA_PF_CONV_CUR_RT and CONV_PERCENTAGE fields

Issue 1: FAPINAS1_S_INSTSTD fails

The field size of the SFA_PF_CONV_CUR_RT was modified due to schema changes (ICE 1932869000). Fix is to change the datatype of the field SFA_PF_CONV_CUR_RT from Signed Number( Integer positions 5 and Decimal positions 4) to Signed Number (Integer positions 9 and Decimal positions 9. ) When a Profile is loaded after this change has been applied, a value in the Profile file such as '0.666325', shows on the Miscellaneous data page as '0.666325000'. When INAS is run the process abends.

INAS-IM 1957357001 INAS 2010-2011 Technical Upgrade #1 - Post #4 and Post #5

Modifications to the 2010-2011 INAS IM/EFM software were performed to correct the following:

Post #4When Option I-4 (specify maximum elementary/secondary tuition allowance) is activated, the calculated tuition allowance is added to the initialization value of -9999999 in the INAR instead of replacing it. The source code has been amended to replace the initialization value.

Post #5Condition where INAS sets the current system date year to 1910 instead of 2010. This defect showed up on 1/1/2010 because the upper bound of the Y2K sliding window range contained a value of ?10?. The source code in module INAS2010.CBL was modified to set variable 20TH-CC-LOW-BOUND to ?11?. This defect affects the INAR report date only, it does not affect the underlying calculations.

INAS-IM 1957594001 INAS-IM: Parents cash savings calculation is dropping first digit

If using imputed assets, if the computed value is greater than 6 digits, the first digit is deleted. As an example, a student reports 60,000 in interest income but no corresponding asset. If the Yield value of 4% is used, the result would be 1,500,000 but instead the Cash Savings field is returned at 500,000

Problem due to bug in INAS program IMTWEK10.CBL. Issue reported to College Board, but still awaiting official fix from College Board. In meantime, Oracle made necessary modification to IMTWEK10.CBL code.

INAS-IM 1958882001 A non-zero return code was passed back from FAPINASR when running an IM only calc for 2011

When running an INAS calc for 2011 (FAPINAS1) on the Maintain Application 2011 component where the INAS Data Source 'Intitutnl' and the INAS Calc Type 'IM', if an ISIR has been loaded with a Rejected EFC, the return code of 150 is being issued and the non-zero return code message appears on to the user.

ISIR 1960524002 Insert ISIR Rows (FAISIRIN .SQR) fails

Process: FAISIRIN .SQR. Navigation: Financial Aid -> Canadian Application Data -> Insert ISIR Rows. When running the Insert ISIR Rows (FAISIRIN .SQR) the process returns a cannot insert NULL error.

Updated the FAISIRIN.SQR with fields SFA_STU_IRS_REQUST,SFA_PAR_IRS_REQUST which were missing




ISIR 1962835002 INAS error when called from ISIR load for 2011

When running the ISIR load for 2011 ISIRs, with INAS being called as the ISIRs are loaded, the following error is being generated and INAS is not invoked:

In Profile Suspense Management 2010-2011 the NAME field is on the SFA_PF_SUSP_CNTRL page yet when you load a Profile it doesn't populate the NAME field on SFA_PF_COMM_ST. So it is blank online. The First and Last name do load to the General Information sub page. The process is SFA_PF_LOAD.

INAS runs incorrectly for manually added International students. The INAS calc is based on Application Type and when adding manual Institutional Applications this field is not available for update. This causes International Student's EFC calculation to include items such as FICA and State Taxes.

Modified the Application Type field to make it updatable on page INST_STUDENT_11 (Student Data in Maintain Institutional Application for Aid Year 2011 and later) when a CSS ID is not present.




Pkg - External Awards 1765772001 Search function for Manage External Awards by Type performs poorly

The search function for Manage External Awards by Type performs poorly. Student data is not returned for all students who meet search criteria - rather it is retrieving data for each individual student one at a time. Searches that would result in a large number of students returned do not complete successfully.

Modify record SFA_EASTG_SRCH1 so the field SFA_EA_TRANS_NBR becomes a search key (currently only a list field) Remove row count from the grid on page Manage External Award Data by Type.

Pkg - External Awards 1765778001 Search functions on Manage External Awards by Type not working properly

There are a number of issues in the search functionality on the Manage External Awards by Type page. 1. Although there are other batches, the search immediately takes you to the first batch in the list. 2. Only if you hit return to search, can you see the entire search results. 3. For large batches, the rows in the scroll header does not match the actual count of rows in the batch.4. There is a problem with the From Row/To Row function. If you enter a To Row, the From Row blanks out which negates the ability to search by specifying range.

FAPPKPEL was also modified to increase the minimum award amount to 1176 (from the previous minimum of 976) for Full time students. Students with 3/4 time, half time, and less than half time attendance also received increases in maximum and minimum awards from the previous Pell award year.

Self Service: Inquiry 1965359001 INAS Student Contribution displays 9s on Self Service

The 9s issue carries over to what the student sees on Student Services Center drilldown on EFC. The process is working as designed and explained in the document ID (The EFC Computation Data for Profile records contains -9s after INAS has been run (Doc ID 983882.1)), but this appearing on Self Service would be very confusing for a family to view.





Verification 1966732002 Batch Verification is inserting incorrect value into SFA_COOP_EARN

When running Batch Verification (FAPCMPR1) with 'Set Assumptions to Verified' selected on the run control, when the new row ISIR row is inserted, its also inserting a value into SFA_COOP_EARN that is so large that users on SQL Server are unable to open the component.

Modified the select statement and declaration in “FAPCMPR1_S_ISIRSTI” and “FAPCMPR1_S_ISIRPAI “ to select the newly added fields in ISIR. The values from this select statement will be used to insert in the ISIR records.

Affects ADAPPPST.SQR, ADTRNPST.SQR and CBAPTLOD.SQR on DB2/Unix.

Quick Admit 1799897001 Quick Admit process generates error when quick admitting a student to multiple institutions in same career

The Quick Admit process does not seem to be working correctly for a multi-institution set up. It generates a "No active program information prior to the Max. Program Effective Date for Term of 8/20/2008" error when a student is being quick admitted to more than one institution for the same career.

When you quick admit a new student to an institution (no rows in prog/plan stack for any institution), the system uses the system date for the effective. If the system date is after the Max Prog Effdt for the term, then the student is admitted with an effective date of Max Prog Effdt. However, if a student, who is already Active in one Institution (rows exist in the Prog/Plan stack), is being quick admitted to another institution, the system is using the effective date on the Program/Plan stack and if the max prog effdt for the institution in which the student is already active is passed, the process generates the above mentioned error.

Modified peoplecode in STDNT_CAR_TERM.EMPLID.SavePreChange to increment the STDNT_CAR_NBR for STDNT_CAR_TERM record and same is updated to the ACAD_PROG record when the student is admitted into a different institution, such that a new Program/Plan stack is created for the new Institution in the ACAD_PROG record.

When running the UCAS Import Applicant Data process, the code relating to Method getApplication in the Application Package SAD_ADM_APPL:ApplicationManager is inserting a blank career in RESIDENCY_OFF for UCAS and GTTR data.

This Method returns &application, but the first line of code in this method is Local SAD_ADM_APPL:Accessors:Application &app = Null; This sets &app = Null. It should probably be setting &application to Null (or the Method should return &app instead).

In cases where the method should be returning Null, it may be returning a value which is left over in &application from when a previous applicant was processed.

Modified the Admissions API to reset the variable &Appl = null; at the beginning of the method getApplications as this is causing blank records to be created in Residency Off if the old value is retained.

When entering a GTTR decision for an applicant in round 6, users get error. Adjustment applicants are only for UCAS choice 6 and should not apply to any GTTR applicants. (Page: SAD_UC_GTDECISN) It is not possible to reject / withdraw a GTTR applicant with this scenario, and any delay means that the applicant will not be able to apply to other institutions.

The applicant does not have a Withdrawn value from ivStarK - it is blank.

When running the Import Applicant process with the choices box checked a Decline Offer row (WAPP - DECL) row has been added which is not required. In the Release to Clearing page users click the Release to Clearing button, add a reason and saved the page. Then they have Generated,Sent and Updated the transactions. This has added a Release to Clearing row to the applicant (WAPP - RELS).

The ivStarC record at UCAS has then been changed so that the applicant has gone from UF to UD. When running the Import Applicant process with the Choices box checked this has then added a Decline Offer row (WAPP - DECL) and this is now required. When changing from UF to UD no row is required, this logic applies to both UCAS and GTTR.

In Student Administration Integration Pack (SAIP) in Campus Solutions release 9, a Component interface (CI) SAE_IB_ROUTINGDEFN_CI is delivered for creating the routings for an SAIP target and to look up the active/inactive status of a target's routing when processing an outbound SAIP real-time event. The first use of the CI makes sense, but the second does not due to overhead and needing to grant access to the CI for all SAIP users. In some instances, access needs to be granted to over 50,000 users

Instead of using the CI to look up the active/inactive status of a routing, it would be helpful if a simple SQL lookup is used, which may just require a modification to application package SAE_FRAMEWORK.UTIL.GeneralUtil.OnExecute and method existsActiveRouting. Can this change be delivered?

Consolidated Statistics 1955679001 Consolidated Stats: Students incorrectly reported as ETHNIC_GROUP_SR 'Two or More Races (8)'

The Consolidated Statistics IPEDS Ethicity reporting changes do not accommodate the recommended set up option for student self-service ethnicity reporting. The CS IPEDS Ethnicity red paper recommends that the self service Not Hispanic answer be mapped to a dedicated Ethnic Group code mapped to the Ethic Group 6 (Not Specified or Not Applicable). With this set up, a student who reports a single ethnicity using self-service will have two ethnic group rows (ETHNICITY_DTL) one for their reported ethic group and one representing the Not Hispanic response. The Consolidated Statistics process is treating this row as a true ethnic group and consequently reports the student as having two or more races. The process should ignore ethnic group codes mapped to Not Specified when the student has other rows where the mapped value <> not specified

Modified logic in SRPCCONS.CBL paragraph 9520-SELECT-ETHNIC-GROUP to correctly set the value of W-ETHNIC-GROUP-SR based on the new criteria for IPEDS reporting.




Course Catalog 1801144001 Under certain circumstances, courses can be added to Student Planner thru Browse Catalog when no longer active.

Course offerings that do not exist in current effective date row of the course catalog appear in My Planner > Browse Catalog. Students are able to add these courses to the planner. Running a what-if report that includes planned courses that are not currently active results in an error.

In SSS_MY_PLANNER(GBL).SSS_CRSPLN_ITEM.RowInit, we added a rowset fill code to get the current Course Catalog / Course Offer row, based on the planner item's term. The data from this view replaces the related display data formerly used on the page, so page SSS_MY_PLANNER was also modified accordingly.

If a course has an initial effective dated row (01/01/1901) with two course offerings and a max effective dated row with one offering (one offering is deleted) and the courseID is made inactive, the course offering that was deleted on the max effective dated row still displays in the Course Catalog Search Results page when the page is viewed in Show All Courses mode.

Course is defined in catalog with three effective dated rows. Only the middle row has course attributes assigned. When a user navigates to Browse Catalog and looks up the course, the course attributes from the prior effective dated row appear.

The first SQL that retrieves the course attribute data in SSS_CRSE_OFFER_DTL(GBL).PostBuild was incorrectly accessing table CRSE_ATTRIBUTES instead of table CRSE_CATALOG. This has been modified to correct the problem.




Course Catalog 1882585001 Browse Catalog issues when two courses or two offerings have the same subject and course nbr

Students need to be able to access all sections offered for a course thru browse catalog. Currently this is an issue when the same subject, catalog nbr and title are shared by multiple course ids and when a single course id has multiple course offerings with the same subject, catalog nbr (and title).

When multiple rows of data with the exact same Course Nbr, Course Title and Typically Offered are found in Browse Catalog, we will now display the message 'view multiple offerings' under the Course Title. If the user selects this link they are transferred to a new component SSS_BCC_SEL_CRSE, which is designed to display additional course information like Career, Campus Academic Group, etc, to assist the user in differentiating between course offerings.

When a student drops multiple classes in one transaction, the enrollment posting process (SRPCEPST) assigns a unique time-stamp to each drop transaction, but if the drops result in penalty grades, the same time-stamp can be reused. This data - where there a two rows with identical date/date-time values - can create problems for Student Financials refunding.

Modified SRPCEPST.cbl to remove the unnecessary retrieval of date/time stamp on drop with penalty transactions.




Enrollment 1962892001 Remote call error on enrollment after bundle #16 when gradescheme changes exist.

If a change is made to the grading scheme table to add additional grades prior to the term begin date, students who were enrolled in the class and receive one of the new grades are getting remote call errors when attempting to enroll in the same class in a subsequent term. The repeat checking processing is using the status date to check for the grade on the grading scheme table instead of the term start date.

Exam Scheduling 645139002 Class Exam rows for combined sections assigned wrong sequence by SREXSCHD.sqr

If class sections are combined, running SREXSCHD.sqr assigns the correct exam code to each section in a combined section but increments the CLASS_EXAM_SEQ for each section in the combined section. When assigning an exam code online, all sections in a combined section ID are assigned the SAME value for CLASS_EXAM_SEQ. When the value for this field is the same, updates to one section are carried to all sections in the sections combined ID. Errors occur when trying to update sections online where the exam code has been assigned via SREXSCHD.sqr.

Graduation/Degrees 1851878001 Graduation Reporting SRGRDDRV inserts 01/01/1900 causing Batch Transcript Generation to Fail in MSS

The Graduation Reporting SQR process (SRGRDDRV.SQR) with the Create Transcript Option checked, is inserting a Request Print Date of 01/01/1900 instead of the system date. The Batch Transcript Generation process uses the Request Print Date to validate and look up the Academic Structure. When the Academic Structure is built using 01/01/1901 as an effective date, the process fails with APPLICATION ERROR PROCESSING IN SRPCTEXT error.

The issue is MSS specific. On the SQR, the Request Print Date defaults to an empty string, which for an Oracle database, is inserted as a NULL date. However in a SQL Server database, it does not convert to a NULL date and will insert a 01/01/1900 date.

Modified SRGRDDRV.sqr to default the system date for the Request Print Date field

Student Milestones 1869740002 Inactive Plan error on Milestone when same program exists on multiple rows in Student Program/Plan

Student has the same program on multiple careers. The career zero row has a DISC or WADM action. Student is currently active in the same career/program/plan on career 2. When attempting to save a milestone, an inactive plan error occurs. This is because the SQLExec on AppPackage SSR_STUDENT_RECORDS, App Class PlanValidation can reference only one row, and two rows are returned from the select. If the first row returned from the database happens to be the inactive career row, then the plan is determined to be inactive.

Modified SQLExec code in application package SSR_STUDENT_RECORDS.SR_Functions.PlanValidation methods GetProgramStatus() and ValidateAcademicPlan() to sort based on the PROG_STATUS field. Added the field PROG_STATUS to the SQLExec in ValidateAcademicPlan() to avoid Informix platform errors.

To prevent this error from occurring, the SQL in method getStudentTerms (app package SSR_STUDENT_RECORDS:SR_StudentData:StudentTerms.OnExecute) was modified so that the function returns only enrollment terms for which there is an ACAD_PROG row active. View SS_EN_TERM_LIST was also updated to include column SSR_TRMAC_LAST_DT, so it can be used in the above-mentioned app package SQL.

Transcripts - XMLP 1960711001 SS View Unofficial Transcript - Report Type field contains no values when page initiated.

After the application of CS 9.0 Bundle #16, the Report Type drop down field on the Self service View Unofficial Transcript component does not populate when the page is initially loaded. If there are multiple institutions in the database, the user can change the Institution value, which triggers fieldchange peoplecode to correctly populate the Report Type field. However, if only one institution exists in the database there is no way for the student to select a Report Type value. This is preventing students from generating unofficial transcripts via self service.

The same issue is seen on administrative transcripts (emplid editing)and Advisors view data for other students (emplid editing).

Modified the page by removing fields INSTITUTION & EMPLID coming from SCC_AFL_DERIVED. Derive the values in the code and pass it to DoModalComponent call .




Transfer Credit 680498002 SRTCSTEV.sqr (STUDENT TRANSFER EVALUATION) only allocates 20 characters for printing

On the SRTCSTEV.sqr, PeopleSoft deliver program (STUDENT TRANSFER EVALUATION), Most of the DESCR field/column peoplesoft defined 30 characters on table's structure(see attachment), but this SQR only allocate 20 characters printing spaces. It causes all the information to scatter on paper when users enter in more than 20 characters. I used SUBSTR command to fix the scattering problem. However, students need to display more than 20 characters on DESCR to understand what type of classes they have taken. Also, all the columns are critical information need to display.

Procedure 'Print-Dtl-Line' in SRTCSTEV.SQR has been modified to accommodate full DESCR fields for External Transfer record and Internal Equivalency Record in the Transfer Evaluation Report.

Navigation: Manage Student Records, Process Transfer Credit, Use, Course Credits/Course Credits Manual

The Transfer Course Details page shows minimal information about the incoming courses being evaluated for transfer and their internal equivalents. To proofread this information, we must drill down into the Edit Equivalent box for every single course. We handle over 30,000 transfer courses this way every year, resulting in hundreds of hours of wasted time. If we could see course details on the front of the page, it would improve our performance enormously.

The Course Credits pages have been redesigned so that more of the detail information now appear on the main page. Most of the changes were done on pages TRNS_CRSE_DTL TRNS_CRSE_ENTRY.

Transfer Credit 1792408001 Deletion of all the data leaves a row with NULL Value.

Deleting all the rows for a student from the Transfer Credit pages and saving does not remove the row from the database. It displays a row with NULL values whenever the query is done for that student. Course Credit pages work correctly.

In peoplecode TRNS_OTHR_TERM.MODEL_STATUS.SavePreChange and TRNS_TEST_TERM.MODEL_STATUS.SavePreChange, a condition check was added so that the code will execute only if the row is not new or not deleted.

Transfer Credit 1862094001 No incoming credit error occurs when trying to Unpost a transfer credit model with blank Group

The Transfer Credit Course Credit Manual component does not allow a empty or a blank Group to be saved at the bottom of the list. The Group is deleted. However, if the blank Group is not the last one and there exist another Group with transfer credit information, the transfer credit can be successfully posted. When attempting to unpost such transfer credit models, a 'no incoming credits for Group (14600,325)' error occurs when trying to unpost transfer credits.

In TRNS_CRSE_TERM.MODEL_STATUS.SavePreChange, a section was added for component TRNS_CRSE_MNL that will delete any detail rows that have no incoming credit and equivalent course information. This should prevent any empty detail rows from being saved causing the error reported if the model is unposted.

Transfer Credit 1885677001 TRNS_CRSE_DTL SQL error in Course Credits Manual when Articulation Term blank and Course ID blank

When the Articulation Term field is blank and the user inputs/selects a Course ID value, a SQL error is returned. The Articulation Term is a required field, but the page should return a message saying the field is required. The SQL error should not occur.

FieldEdit peoplecode was added to TRNS_CRSE_DTL.CRSE_ID to check for the presence of the Articulation Term first before allowing the user to enter equivalent course information. This will ensure that the correct Course Catalog row is retrieved using the correct effective date based on the Articulation Term. TRNS_CRSE_DTL.CRSE_ID.FieldChange was also modified to clear the Course ID field if no term selection had been made.

Billing 1886476001 Invoices cannot be found when posting Payments using Apply Payments by Invoice

When using the Global Invoicing, Apply Payments by Invoice setup, generating an invoice for a charge that uses a Billing and Due Calendar that splits charges for billing purposes will result in incorrect data in SSF_ITEM_INV. This results in an immediate error wherein the invoice can not be found when using Student Post or other posting routines to post a payment. Deeper down, however, the data on this table is becoming corrupted with each bill, which may have additional issues downstream.

Updated COBOL program SFPQINVI.CBL (section CA150-MOVE-DUE-AMT) by commenting out the line of code updating the W-UPDATE-APPLIED variable. This line of code prevented proper maintenance of the PS_SSF_ITEM_INV table.

GL Interface 1597906002 Reverse GL Entries (SFPGLBCK.cbl) Program Doesn't Work

NAVIGATION: Student Financials, GL Interface, Reverse GL Interface.

PROBLEM: When this program is run using a Run Control ID that is different than the Run Control ID used to generate the GL Interface that is being backed out, the program fails with an error message (catalog 14827, message 11104) citing 'Invalid Run Control parameters -- Make sure Business Unit and Term are specified for the Run Control ID".

Updated the SFPGLBCK so that it reverses the GL run using data in the GL History record and process request record. This should allow for GL reversal by operators other than the operator who initially submitted the GL process.

Added concurrency logic to SFPGLINT (GL Interface) so that the program creates an error message and terminates if another GL process for the same Business Unit is currently processing. This logic was also added to the SFDPTREC process (Cashiering GL Interface) with the concurrency check looking at Business Unit and Cashiering Office instead of just Business Unit.




GL Interface 1802882001 Unable To Maintain An Existing Speedtype on the field "Type of SpeedType"

In version 8SP1 users had the capability to change an existing speed type field "Type of SpeedType" from Universal (All Operators) to a specific operator visa versa. A new speedtype type of "Permission List" exists now. However, maintenance can no longer be performed on speedtypes carried forward from SA8SP1 with the Type Of Speedtype = Universal. There is no provision to inactivate a speedtype either, which means the universal speedtype with it's original setting remains active. Creating a new speed type for the changed functionality will only be confusing to the functional staff using the speedtypes. PeopleBooks still refers to the Universal type of speedtype as being a valid choice.

Updated the speedtype page so that speedtype type can be updated and speedtypes can be deleted.




Payment Plans 1952225001 A Student can be added to a payment plan 2 times.

A student who has already been attached to a payment plan can be added to the payment plan a 2nd time corrupting data and creating a failure on a later date in posting.

The peoplecode in PP_STDNT_ADD_VW.CONTRACT_NUM.FieldChange and PP_STDNT_ADD_VW.EMPLID.FieldChange was meant to stop the student from being added to the contract twice. However, this code only gets triggered if you go straight to the Add tab and actually input the EMPLID value or CONTRACT_NUM value on the Add tab. This peoplecode should be in the SearchSave instead. Copied the peoplecode to check for existing contracts to the PP_STDNT_ADD_VW.EMPLID.SearchSave.

Payment Plans-Third Party Con 1940840001 An error may occur when FA is adjusted down and the student is on a calculated payment plan.

A student must be in a calculated payment plan and have at least one installment billed but not all installments billed. After the student is linked to the plan, FA is disbursed and will recalculate the payment plan. Finally, the student's FA is adjusted to a lower amount and an error will occur but is not displayed to the user.

Changed SFPQKPST.cbl to set the flag w-found-pmt-plans-sw properly.

The tuition structure used consists of term fees set to Calculate By Term, with a Due Date Calendar using a pivot date of Class Start Date, or a Due Date Calendar using a pivot date of Session Start Date.

Tut Calc 1908983002 Tuition Calculation Is Not Following Adjustment calendar In A Specific Situation

Tuition calculation does not adjust fees correctly in one situation. When a term fee uses an adjustment calendar with an Adjust By option of 'By Class Meetings', and the student is enrolled in a lab/lecture class, where the lab component with zero units, has a meeting pattern where the first meeting day of the pattern is before the term commences, tuition calc will not give a full refund when the class is dropped in the 100% refund period. For example, the meeting pattern is Monday/Thursday for the lab component, and the Term begins on a Tuesday. The lecture component meeting pattern is Wednesday. The student drops the class on Thursday. One day of the lecture component has been attended, and zero days of the lab component has been attended, and full fees are retained after the class is dropped.

Modified SFPFECAL.CBL, paragraphs JD100-CHECK-DROP-DATE and JJ200-CHECK-DROP-DATE to correct logic related to Adjust by Meeting. It was incorrectly adding the bill units from a dropped class when the meeting count was zero.

After applying Campus Solutions 8.9 Bundle #20, update ID 739494, or Campus Solutions 9.0 Bundle #13, Update Id 739506 the combination of a Term Fee Waiver and Course/Class Fee Waiver and a student active in 2 programs, the posting error 14816,11193 will be displayed when the student drops a class associated with the course/class fee waiver. Scenario: when a student has 2 active programs(same program) and the student is enrolled in classes with course class fees/waivers. In addition, one of the term fees has a waiver associated to it. 1) Incorrect stdnt_car_nbr is getting picked up on the course/class fees and waiver2) After dropping classes, associated with course/class fees and waiver, error 14816,11193 is displayed.

Modified SFPFECAL.CBL, paragraph TA200-CALCULATE-WAIVERS to save Student Career Nbr before calculating Course/Class Fee Waivers. The saved value is then restored before calculating Term Fee Waivers.




Communication Generation 1857581001 Historical Address Being Used for Communication Generation if Same Address Type has Mixed Countries

When producing a letter with Communication Generation, the latest effective dated address row is not selected when there is a mix of United States and Non United States addresses. For example: If an applicant has a US Home address with an effective date of 01/01/2009 and a China address with an effective date of 02/01/2009, the Communication Generation process selects the US address with the effective date of 01/01/2009 over the more recent China address. In this example, if both addresses were for the same country (US or China), the Communication Generation process selects properly the most recent address row.

The PER_ADDRESS view was updated to retrieve current addresses assigned to EMPLID’s in Campus Solutions.

Communication Generation 1949001001 SCC_COMMGEN continued running after DB shutdown

After a database shutdown, CommGen continued processing causing data issues.

The catch blocks in the MergeOuput, CreateEnvelope and CreateLabel methods of the SCC_COMMGEN: MODEL: CommGen class were updated to throw any exceptions raised back to CommGen/CGLabels. The SCC_COMMGEN and SCC_CGLABELS application engines were also modified to catch any exceptions raised by the CommGen class and terminate the process when any error occurs.

Modified the following 1. Created a new view SCC_DIVERS_VW (structure similar to DIVERSITY record ) and incorporate Ethnic Group field2. Replaced Diversity Record with the Newly created SCC_DIVERS_VW view in the message CS_PERS_DATA_EXTEND_FULLSYNC3. Modified the sql of Mapping View SAD_CRM_FLT_DIV (used in full data publish utility) to query the SCC_DIVERS_VW table instead of DIVERSITY table

SEVIS Alerts process (navigation: Main Menu > Campus Community > SEVIS > F/M Alerts > Process SEVIS Alerts - F/M) does not check if there is an OPT employment extension before producing a Status - Complete alert. It only looks at the OPT employment end date. If it happens that the student has an OPT employment extension with extension end date in the future but the original OPT end date has passed, it will generate a Status - Complete alert which it should not.

Added logic to CCSEVI20.SQC to override the original OPT end date if the OPT 17 month extension is enabled (set to (Y)es) and the OPT extension end date is not blank for the CompleteProgram and TerminateStudent events.




Self-Service: Demographic Data 1951719002 Ethnic information is not being validated and flags not written to DB after save

Student Self Service > Personal Information > Ethnicity. If ethnic information exists for the student (which it does for almost every student), that information is actually populated in the self service form when the student pulls it up. The student, most likely not wanting to change anything, will click 'The Information is correct as entered' and then click submit. This action DOES NOT change the value of ETH_VALIDATED from null or N to Y. That seems like an issue, because unless you remove all Ethnic values for every record prior to opening this survey up, most students will not be changing their values and simply authorize and click submit, but really cannot verify that they did anything because ETH_VALIDATED remains null. Unable to prove it via PIA that the values that the student reviewed and Submitted their Ethnicity. Also, a student should not be able to change this information once submitted.

Modified the code to update Ethnicity_dtl table when the user checks "The Information is correct as entered" check box. SS_CC_ETHNICITY_US.GBL.savepre change has been modified for this fix.
