Changes she made:
She worked more than 50 years to make the right for women to vote.
She served as an agent for the American anti-slavery society.
Sacrifices she made: was arrested and found guilty, had to pay $100 fine.
How this changed North Carolina: A lot more people can vote, helped anti-slavery , women are running for president.
Mrs. Stanton wanted to change women’s rights.
She wanted men and woman to be equal.
Because of her actions woman can now vote.

She thought slavery was not fair because only black people were slaves. When she was little she was abused and still had to work. When she became free she went back and led more people to freedom. She was a nurse in
Washington, D.C.She was a spy for the Union army.She lived extremely poor.She slept in a cabin at night.
She was born in Maryland in1820. She died in1913 from pneumonia in Auburn New York .

She was born in 1821 and she died in1912. She almost lost her life in the battlefield. She was really famous for starting the American Red Cross. She was brave and she was always prepared to save
people. She relates to me because her childhood was a lot like
mine.

Amelia EarhartShe became a pilot even
though people said women should not be pilots.
She inspired other women to follow their dreams.
She was the first woman to cross the Atlantic Ocean by plane.
In 1934 she flew across the Pacific Ocean.
In 1937 she attempted to fly around the world, but she ran out of fuel and crashed. She was never found.
This relates to me because when someone said I couldn’t beat them at arm wrestling, I did beat them.

Cross.2008 marks Amelia Earhart’s 66th anniversary
for her solo flight.
She is most famous for being the first woman

He discovered the North Pole, and he discovered a island.
The first people to walk on foot was Robert Peary and Matthew Henson. Robert Peary helped open the coldest places in the world.

Orville, his brother, helped him on there invention, the airplane. The airplanes fly and people can go places. He had three sisters.

• He fought for grape growers to earn more money.
• He also fought for there to be more farmers.

Changes he made: Him and his wife taught immigrants how to speak English. In 1968 he organized a five year grape boycott . He fought for better pay and treatment for non-American farmers.
Sacrifices he made : He gave his lifesavings of $1,200 and formed the National Farmers Association. In 1962.
He was successful in achieving fair treatment of farm workers and changed the lives of millions of people for the better.
How his change affected N.C. People became aware of the change, now the farmers in N.C are treated and paid fairly.
