The Master of Sports in diving Julia Pakhalina

was born on September, 12th 1977 in Penza

is a multiple World (nine medals) and European (eleven medals, including eight gold ones) champion

the Olympic champion

Three Olympics = five medalsIn Sydney in 2000 she won the gold medal in

3m synchronized springboard along with Vera Ilyina.

In Athens in 2004 the duo won the silver medals in the individual diving.

In 2008 in Beijing she won two silver medals in 3 meter-board diving and in 3m

synchronized diving along with Anastasia Pozdnyakova.

Currently Julia Pakhalina lives in the United States and competes for the University of

Houston's swimming and diving team.
