    Jesus was undeniable! Since we

    about Christ.

Trinity Worship Sunday is a celebration of the

Holy Trinity, God in three per-

son, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

    Enter His gates with thanksgiv-

ing and His courts with praise.

    Come to worship on Sunday!

    Great Outreach Opportunity

The NBC miniseries “A.D. The Bi-

ble Continues” provides each of us

a great chance to reach others

who do not know Jesus. There are

    three expressions of this series:

    1) the episodes that air on

WOWT each Sunday night; 2) our

Tuesday night Bible study; 3) our

    Sunday morning teaching series.

Pray that the Holy Spirit will

draw many to Jesus as Savior.

    Then invite others.

  • Why You Should Regularly Attend our House of Prayer!

    Why pray? Charles Finney wrote,

“Nothing tends more to cement the

    hearts of Christians than praying

together. Never do they love one

another so well as when they wit-

ness the outpouring of each other’s

hearts in prayer.” ~ Charles Finney.

    Come together, church! Stand

with us in corporate prayer. We

need to pray for the power of the

Holy Spirit to be the church He

has called us to be. Come to

House of Prayer ~ this Tuesday

    ~ 6:30 p.m. (before worship) at

    FCC.

    What’s Missional?

    A missional church imitates what

God has done in Jesus Christ ~ He

sent His Son into the world. To be

missional means to be sent out; we

do not expect people to come to us.

We go to them. We are all mission-

aries sent into a non-Christian cul-

ture. Every follower is to be an

agent of God’s kingdom, and every

Jesus follower is to carry the mis-

sion of God into every arena of

life. We are to live on purpose -

    with Christian intention every

    day. Ready, set, go!

    Missional Idea

Do a summer BBQ. Invite a few of

your friends to help. Invite your

neighbors and begin to get to know

those whom you have not met.

When they ask you why you are do-

ing this, tell them it’s about being a

    Jesus follower.

    Giving Away Your Crosses?

We have done so well with our

    cross ministry, giving away al-

    most 2,500. An additional 500

    crosses have been blessed and

are available for you to give to

those that the Lord has ap-

pointed. Grab some at the Christ

    Lutheran table. Give away your

crosses and bless others in Je-

sus’ name. Then, tell us what

    happened. What’s your story?

    Tell it!

    Jesus Follower Quotes

“Your life is God’s gift to you.

What you do with your life is your

    gift back to God.”

“May your life preach more loudly

    than your lips.”

Prayer Quotes “The measure of our prayer is the

    measure of our power.”

    - Andrew Murray

“Dear Lord, I need You. I am tired of

doing things my way. Help me to do

things Your way. Take my weakness

and give me Your strength. Give me

Your Spirit that I may trust, love,

and serve You with my whole heart,

    mind and strength. Amen.”

    Tuesday

    Bible Study

    7:00 p.m.

    “A.D. The Bible

    Continues” is

the title of our Bible study on

    Tuesday evenings. We meet

each week to discuss the pre-

    ceding episode of A.D. Watch

    Episode 9 on Sunday, Channel

    6 WOWT from 8-9 p.m. This

study of Acts will build your

    knowledge of the Word and

encourage you to live bold, ac-

    tion-oriented lives like the first

    followers of Jesus. Don’t miss

any of this! Lesson 9 is “,” Tues-

    day, 7:00-8:30 p.m. at FCC.

“A.D. The Bible Continues” Episode 9 on Sunday

Be sure to watch (or DVR) Epi-

sode 9 of the dramatic miniser-

ies titled, “A.D. The Bible Con-

    tinues,” Sunday, May 31, 8:00

    p.m. on NBC, WOWT, Channel

    6. You can also view it on

    nbc.com or youtube.com. In

    this Sunday’s episode, Saul re-

    turns to Jerusalem, after

    preaching in Damascus nearly

cost him his life. There he

meets with Peter and the disci-

    ples. They eventually agree to

    welcome him into the church

    with much reluctance and only

    after Barnabas persuades them

    to trust him. (Acts 9:20-27).

    Confirmation Camp

    Pray for Mysti, Andrew and

    Bryan who will be attending

    Confirmation Camp at Lake

Okoboji the week of June 7th.

Pray also for Crystal Vogt and

    Pastor who will attend.

    Missional Retreat Outcomes

“The church has left the build-

ing!” On May 2nd, our church met

at the Blair Hospital for our

    leadership retreat. Six service

    projects were proposed and ac-

cepted by our people who at-

    tended: 1) Rebuilding Washing-

    ton County, 2) A Meal and a

Movie, 3) Mobile Meals, 4) Shut-

    in Ministry, 5) Parents’ Date

    Night, and 6) Disaster Relief

    A second earthquake struck Nepal

on May 12 causing additional inju-

ries and damage to areas just be-

    ginning recovery from the earth-

that number may continue to rise.

LaDonna Bucy wrote this week, “I

want to thank God for being with

me through all this. Then, thanks

to all the family, Pastor Mark and

all of Christ Lutheran for your

calls, prayers, visits and cards. I

have learned a lot – like to worry

less & give it all to God. I know

without a doubt it is my Father’s

will to heal me & I have confident

assurance that He desires my heal-

ing more than I do. We walk hand

& hand each day. So now thanks to

everyone for so many prayers &

    the prayer shawl. Keep those

    prayers going! Trusting God for

    ALL! In Christ’s love, LaDonna”
