Penrose Farmhouse – for sale freeholdPenrose Farmhouse is an immaculate Grade II Listed
family home that has been renovated and maintained to
an exceptionally high standard both inside and throughout
the garden. The property is approached down a shared
driveway with five other dwellings before reaching the
granite pillars that lead into its own private driveway.
The front door leads into an entrance hall off which are
the kitchen/ breakfast room and the boot room. The
kitchen has original granite flagstones and an oil-fired
Aga. Beyond the kitchen is a larder and there is also a
door out to the front driveway. Off the boot room are
a cloakroom / WC and a back door leading out to the
garden and pergola, beside which is an outdoor shower.
Off the hallway are the dining room and sitting room;
both have original sash windows and wooden shutters.
The sitting room has a Jetmaster open fireplace whilst
the dining room has a wood burner within an Inglenook
fireplace. Beyond the dining room are a snug (also with
an Inglenook fireplace) and the utility room.
The principal staircase leads up to a half landing off which
is a family bathroom and a double bedroom. Beyond this
bedroom is the sixth (single) bedroom. The stairs continue
up to the first floor landing off which are three double
bedrooms and a family bathroom. The principal bedroom
has an en suite shower room. Beyond the family bathroom
is a twin bedroom within which is access down the back
stairs to the snug below.
Gardens and GroundsBeside the large parking area are both a car port and a
single detached garage.
The immaculate garden is a particular feature of the
property and is filled with mature trees and hydrangeas,
camellias and azaleas to name but a few of the shrubs.
At the far end of the garden is a hard, all-weather tennis
court above which are a barbeque area, terrace and a
summer house.
