THANK YOUS
Assembly for her contribution to the library of Odd Fellow magazines – (Sep., Oct. & Nov. 1963 and Jan., Feb. & Mar. 1964).
I would like to sincerely thank you all for your contribution to my education. A few years ago, your organization sent me on the United Nations Pilgrimage for Youth, and this scholarship is another wonderful act of kindness that you have shown me. This money will be very helpful in paying for my books this coming semester. I am incredibly grateful for this award. Thank you!
Mary Pechulis
I would like to thank the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Lodges of Pennsylvania for the generous scholarship that I received. I appreciate your recognition of my achievements academically and socially as well as my involvement in my community. The scholarship that I received was used towards books for this coming semester. I am truly appreciative of your generosity and would just like to say thank you again.
Cara Elias
I was thrilled to receive the $500 scholarship award. I am still attending Millersville University majoring in math educations. I will apply this money to my tuition this fall. My father and grand father have been Odd Fellows for many years. They both were honored to hear that I received this scholarship. It is nice to know that the Odd Fellows support higher education and I very much appreciate this contribution to my personal education. I hope to teach math and help future generations of students not only in school but also in life. Again I wish to thank the Odd Fellow’s Organization and hope to see you continue your endeavors.
In Appreciation, Andrew Kamp
The 80th Pilgrimage to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers is scheduled to take place at Arlington National Cemetery, Sunday, May 5, 2013. The ceremonies will begin at 1:00 PM with a parade from the USS Maine Mast staging area, followed by the Memorial Service and Wreath Laying Ceremonies at the Tomb.

order to represent the best image of the lodge, the members who represent the lodge in the public eye should be the best examples of the lodge. The best way to make sure the people who represent the lodge are the best examples is to do continuing education with members. Knowing the product makes it easier to sell. For every project or idea that is presented there will very probably be opposing ideas on how to do whatever it is or even whether to participate in it at all. The problem tends to arise when someone who opposes the idea and speaks against it, it comes out as appearing to attack the person instead of the idea. This can immediately create a division in the lodge and ill feelings between members. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY
The Arthritis Committee hopes all of you are surviving the winter weather and as Valentine’s Day turns your thoughts to love for your special someone, you’ll remember to help the three PA Arthritis Foundation Chapters. They are looking to recruit help from the IOOF Lodges for their activities. You ask, “What can I do?” You can go to the local office and help with a mailing. You can help at the Registration table for one of their events. You can send a check to The Arthritis Committee to help us help those with Arthritis. We sure hope you’ll consider one of these suggestions! Things are a little slow at the Chapters for the winter months with actual activities, but they are planning a multitude of activities for the spring. Remember, every penny sent to The Arthritis Committee goes directly to the project specified.
