History: The Cemetery Club

A beautiful, well-kept Peninsula cemetery was a mess of poison ivy, hazel brush and blackberry briars prior to the organization of the Peninsula Cemetery Club in 1915. The first officers were: Mrs. Ike Smith, Mrs. Mitt Heim, Mrs. T. F. Taylor, Mrs. C. C. Alley, Mrs. Eva Schaber, and Miss Mary Daughery.

Jo is survived by her husband Elwood, sons Doug, Daryl, and Gordon, daughter Ann, brother George Heim of Seattle, WA, two grandsons, three granddaughters, three great grandchildren, and scores of friends.
