We collected 150 pairs of jeans for Aeropostale’s Teens for Jeans

which will be donated to a local homeless shelter or charity!

Check out the paw we painted at Paws for A Cause to benefit The Ferst Foundation in

their effort to inspire child literacy!

This year we collected 156 inches of hair, beating last year’s

record of 130 inches. A Flair for Hair helped sponsor the event,

offering to not only cut, but to style each

person’s “do”.

Hey sisters!I hope all of you are doing wonderful. Goodness, I miss you ladies! Update on my life:

I just moved down to Tallahassee in August 2010. I started the graduate program here at FSU in social work. I am really enjoying it so far. This semester I'm taking a Family Violence class, and a Crisis Intervention class. Both are going to be challenging, but extremely important in the field. It's intense, but I'm learning a lot and am looking forward to internships and a career when I complete the program. Honestly, deciding to get my masters in social work has a lot to do with me being in Gamma Sig. I love serving others and really do care about those who genuinely need help in life. I have Gamma Sig, and my sisters, to thank for helping me find that.

I currently live with my handsome and frisky puppy, Huckleberry. He is an adorable german shepherd/ lab mix, and he loves stuffed animals, howling at sirens, and taking up the entire bed at night. He was a rescue dog from up in Milledgeville. I've also picked up yoga, and LOVE it! Such a stress reliever!

This year, I'll be celebrating my 2 year anniversary with my incredible boyfriend. Hopefully he'll be moving down to Tallahassee this summer. We've only done the long-distance thing while I've been here for my first semester, and its tough! I have newfound respect for the ladies who can handle long-distance relationships!

My twin sister is still up in Milly, and works at BBBS. Go into the GIVE center and say hello to her, or even better-- be a big sister! you do not know how many times Katie tells me how much fun she has with her little, and all of the other Bigs, too!

I really really hope to visit Milly soon and maybe get together with any of you who'd like to grab a coffee, a drink dt, or whatever! clue me in on a service project, and maybe I'll pop in on one of those too! And feel free to facebook me, cuz I'm always on. I love you all <3

Hey!This is a picture of me and Heather at a friend's wedding (I'm on the left).

February 2010 was when i got my first real big-girl job with Big Brothers Big Sisters here in Milledgeville and I have really loved it. My goal was (and still is) to work for a couple of years and then go to grad school for my Masters in Social Work. I plan on applying to UGA for fall 2012.  I'm happy that I got the chance to take time off between undergrad and graduate school but I can't wait to go back to school and bring with me all that I've learned from my work experience.I started dating my boyfriend last January. We are celebrating our one year anniversary this coming weekend and I'm thrilled!I've had to say goodbye to my two best friends, as one moved to New York and the other to Tallahassee. It's been a year full of adjustments (or I guess, growing up) and it's been extremely difficult. But I believe the struggles have taught me to appreciate little victories.  I am blessed with a great job that I enjoy and I am good at,  I have lots of love in my life, and even though nearly all of it is long distance, it's definitely worth every minute. Skype helps, too.Oh, and for Christmas break my family went on a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico and now I'm a HUGE advocate for cruises as family vacations. For real. Go on one. AAAAmazing. Thanks for the distraction from work! -Katie Linney
