The ability to use maps created in AutoCAD, or available as commongraphics files, allows administrators to quickly import an existingmap to begin building a graphical representation of the site. Directaccess to the Endura system provides a simple click-and-dragoperation to assign cameras, alarms, and relays, to map icons. Iconscan be customized in size and color to manage clutter on a map whilestill providing an effective way of determining where keycomponents are located. Hyperlinks can be utilized throughout themap to easily link multiple maps together to create a hierarchy ofviews. Further, custom shape layers, icon layers, and views can becreated to serve the needs of various operators.
Operators can launch the mapping interface through the WS5000advanced system software. User rights and permissions aremanaged by the Endura system manager, providing a single databasefor managing the operator's experience and access in the mappinginterface in accordance with the rest of the Endura system. Iconswith alarms pulse with different colors to indicate the presence of analarm. Each alarm severity supported in the Endura system isautomatically tallied in their associated icon, providing operatorswith a quick view of the number of alarms and their severity for agiven icon. An intuitive graphical user interface allows operators toaccess and acknowledge alarms, activate relays, view live video, andeven manage monitor wall displays without ever having to leave theapplication.
