MONTHLY MESSAGE

Peace Pointer™

May we all be "restored to the tranquility and peace of mind in which they (we) were created" – excerpted from A Course in Miracles, Workbook Lesson 124:5.1 It would seem with all good intentions my newsletter is becoming bimonthly instead of monthly. This less frequent publication is due to family priorities so I hope those who read my messages and news updates will bear with me through these times. I am doing extensive hands healing with our cat Creamy and dealing with my own process of healing from a tick bite last summer which resulted in Lyme disease. I am going through daily anti-biotic, herbal as well as homeopathic treatments along with my own subtle energy work and healing meditations. I have also been helping my husband with the marketing communications for his high tech products and engineering services business. This means less time for my creative arts and healing arts teaching and individual work. I am hoping to catch up on my writing newsletter endeavors once this period of activities is over. In the meantime I listen to my daily inner guidance on how best to spend my time without feeling spent. I continue to receive encouragement about the peacebuilding programs I have been following guidance about since 1993. This guidance started with the Inner Peace Treaty™ in 1993, then the Peace Pulse™ hands healing practive and Peace Nouvella™ educational programs in 1999, and the Peace Nouvella Players™ in 2008. All this peace work culminated this week in another visit to Congressman Dennis Kucinich's office in Washington, DC. (see photo with caption page 3). This was my third visit to his congressional office since first meeting him 12 years ago. Each time I have invited those working on peace projects with me to go with me. As before he offered encouraging words for me to continue following my inner guidance and peace project effort. It is not easy to stay focused on inner and outer work once the "clamor of the world" takes hold on one's mind. It is easy however to trust that it is all for a higher purpose. I am reminded that it is important to remember "things" can seem to get in the way until we are transformed by our own inner work as "pain gives way to peace" (A Course in Miracles, W.124.5.1).

As a contributing writer details of these two books are shown on my Publications webpage. The books are part of a Transforming Education for the Future and Peace Education curriculum at University of Maryland lead by professor Jing Lin PhD. We offered these books in support of the congressman's dedication to peace work. We also offered encouragement for him to continue this work once he leaves office as a U.S. House Representative from the Cleveland, Ohio the end of this year. Hope truly does spring eternal in each of us as the promise of shared peace within. Wishing all a joyous Spring season as the eternal blessing of peace fulfilled.

Description: Peace Nouvella™ is an international educational peacebuilding project that I have been following inner guidance about since 1994. This experiential presentation is co-creatively designed as an introduction to the Peace Nouvella™ comprehensive course of study. Individual and group participation includes lecture, discussion and experiential exercises. The words Peace Nouvella mean "a new peace scripted in the heart, co-authored with God". This co-authorship involves connecting with the highest aspects of your being for personal growth, healing and creative expression. Further in-depth study includes; meditation, inner peacebuilding, intuition, subtle energy training and the hands healing practice called the Peace Pulse™. The training also includes the creative arts for healing through: journaling, art, music, theater and storytelling. Further opportunities, for skills development is also available for those interested in becoming a Peace Nouvella™ practitioner, facilitator and/or trainer.

MEDITATION: Creating More Inner Peace and Health Date/Time: Call for times Cost: $10 per forty-five minute session or $30 monthly for 4 sessions Registration Form: Due one week before each session or 4 week or series. Description: Create more inner peace, health and balance in all areas of your life. Develop an understanding of meditative healing practices as they relate to individual and global healing. These include active mind and still mind forms as well as walking and other forms of moving meditation. Techniques using sound, visualization and journaling are also covered combining music, art and writing to help you integrate meditative practices into your daily life. Learn the benefits of both a personal-ized practice and a supportive group environment to increase vitality, mental clarity, concentration, creativity, wholeness and harmony.
