Wood Racing Shells and Oars for SaleOur family is selling some of Bill Kalenius’s old wood sculling oars, along with his

Sims Racing Single (was one of his first shells) and a wood Pocock Racing Single. Asking prices are based on what is floating around Cyberspace (not much). We are more than welcome to have folks come over and look at the oars and even row the single on Vancouver Lake (yes, both singles have riggers!). We are mostly interested in simply finding a good home for these special pieces of rowing history. A portion of all sales will go toward supporting Vancouver Lake Crew.

We have a collection of wood sculling oars (above). Included are Ciolli (2 sets of 117’’), Aylings (blue stamp, 117’’), Ciolli (silver label, 118.25’’), Piantedosi (116.75’’), Aylings (114.5’’), and Pocock (115.25’’). We are asking $400 per pair. The Pococks (far right) are exquisite and are only for sale if you make a really motivated offer! We can deliver regionally (Ashland to Bellingham) if needed. These oars are in fine shape. They have been sitting in the garage for years/decades.

26’4’’ Pocock. This wood single is absolutely beautiful. Riggers included. I can’t find anything wrong with it. It is truly a work of art. We are asking $4000.

This is the Sims. It is 26’7’’. It has been rowed a bit (I learned to scull in this one). Everything works fine. We are asking $1500.
