On 26th January 2014, Bishop Kieran O’Reilly celebrated Mass to launch the 5 year fund raising drive to com-plete the Restoration of St Mary Of the Rosary Church. To Date extensive work has been done on St Mary’s as follows;

Damp proofing and sealing of roof areas, Repairs to belfry Tarmac laid in grounds New lighting in grounds Complete replacement of all electrical wiring and

systems, Complete interior painting, Overhaul of heating, Draught proofing at entrance door on church road

side Work currently in progress;

New confessional Wheelchair access and draught proofing at Convent

side entrance.

Work being planned for 2018;

Ramp at Church Road entrance Car parking controls.

To fund all of these works we set out to raise €760,000 and we are delighted to report that currently we have raised €716,000. As we now start the final year of the 5 year draw we have just another €34,000 to go.

We are deeply indebted to all the people who have sup-ported the 5-year draw to date. The final year contribution of €100 is now due and we would ask everyone to please pay any outstanding mon-ies to either your promoter or directly to the Parish Of-fice. There are just 4 draws left; End March, End June, End September and End December, For all fully paid up members who have contributed €500 over the 5 years there is a final bonus prize of €5,000 in December. We are on target to complete the work in time for the 125 Centenary of St Mary’s in 2021. This has only been possible by the generosity of so many of our parishion-ers and friends. Thank you.
