HELP NEEDED

Every Sunday, we serve 180-200 people a free pancake breakfast. Pancakes and Praise has become a central part of our presence in the neighborhood. We need helpers to cook, serve, and clean up after Pancakes and Praise. You don’t need to be available every Sunday, but your presence will make a difference in the lives of our friends who live on the streets. Please contact Alex Teruya or Kueni Maka if you are interested or want more information.

Spread the word

DACA/DAPA workshop is coming to FUMC – Saturday, April 11, 2015, 10 a.m. to 12 pm. Parking, childcare and a light lunch will be provided. Immigration attorneys will talk about recent changes in regulations covering Deferred Action for Child Arrivals and their Parents. Im-migration attorneys will also be on hand for personal and private consultation and refer-ral. All talks and printed material will be trans-lated into Tongan. Come join members and friends of other churches who have also been invited to this free workshop.

Church and Society Committee

FUMC goes Pay Pal!

Now you can make donations to the church online through Pay Pal. Go to our web-site www.firstumchonolulu.org and click on the Donate Now page, or go to https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_flow&SESSION=i63ksrVPyuHsMMRnrtjrQokD0RK8uadp-UKGEmlN6-LWGf71e-BiV_PO7tmC&dispatch=5885d80a13c0db1f8e263663d3faee8d96f000117187ac9edec8a65b311f447e. For every donation through our PayPal ac-count, we are charged the a non-profit fee of 2.2% + $0.30. For example, if you donate $100, a fee of $ 2.50 is deducted by PayPal ($100 x 2.2% = $2.20 + $0.30 =

$2.50). Please consider increasing your gift to cover the fee. Donations can be made toward your regular pledge, or for special gifts to one of our ministries… just put a note directing us where to put it. We are already receiving pledges and recently got a gift of $1000 for Pancakes and Praise through Pay Pal. Thank you to Treasurer Ongo Koli for putting this together.
