Hi James,
I've used QR codes with middle schoolers in math class for all sorts of things. Here's a sampler of several examples if you're interested.
Cooperative problem-solving tasks:

Error analysis with feedback through QR code text messages:

An easy way to get to a website:

A little novelty for prizes:
http://www.mathycathy.com/blog/2013/10/qr-codes-and-classroom-prizes-fun-novel-and-free/
I like using the Qrafter app to read the codes - it has always been very reliable.
Enjoy,
Cathy :-)

“..(computer)Technology is a means and not an end…”
Instead of integrating technology into education in a structured way that enhances, learning technology is often being used for the sake of using it or at the most for carrying out traditional tasks in a techie way.
Using SAMR terms, teachers are still operating at substitution level.
They are using new technology tools to replace old ones, using Google Docs to replace Microsoft Word.
The task ( of writing) is the same but the tool is different.
Is this a problem?

AirPlay in the iPad Classroom
When your computer is hooked up to a projector and your iPad is on the same wireless network you can simply mirror your iPad screen using the same AirPlay technology on an Apple TV.
A very cool feature is the ability to mirror more than one iPad screen. You can show multiple iPad screens of student work, or in a collaborative team teaching classroom,
