DESIGN WITHIN REACH: Renderings and images completed as a Junior Architect for Sayigh-Duman. Working in multiple stages, and in various store locations, renderings and drawings were created for the design and visualization strategies of the furniture retail store. Additionally shop drawings were produced for the custom millwork of multiple displays and vignette stands. The intent was to create a coherent language of branding that helped the customer identify with and understand each individual store and the products, themes and services provided Design Within Reach during its redevelopment.

Programs used: Autodesk AutoCAD, Adobe CS5 (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Rhinoceros (+VRay).Images courtesy of Design Within Reach & Sayigh-Duman

NIAGARA FALLS HOTEL: The project aimed to examine strategies for developing a site above a railway along the Canadian side of Horseshoe Falls. The tower was designed in a series of proposals that avoided blocking the views of surrounding towers and hotels to the scenic waterfall. Minimizing the footprint of the building allowed for a public viewing platform to be constructed alongside the tower. A curving glass façade allows hotel visitors optimum views toward the falls and various setbacks provide space for outdoor patios, viewing decks and seating for restaurants.

NOYAC PATH RESIDENCE: Renderings, plans and images completed as Junior Architect for Sayigh-Duman. The project’s goal is to negotiate the varied design preferences of the client between traditional residential construction and contemporary architecture. The divergent masses are joined by a large family room, clad in corten steel with various apertures to allow light into the center of the home. The sunscreen / terrace at the back of the house folds and is continued into the home as where it transforms into a handrail and partition for the center staircase.

Programs used: Autodesk AutoCAD, Adobe CS5 (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Rhinoceros (+VRay).
