This manual outlines the procedure to carry out Pay Scale Re-classification as proposed

by the Government of Pakistan for Year 2011.

Task: Execution of Pay Scale reclassification Program and the relevant delimit/create wag type programs.

Reason: To incorporate the latest announced Pay Scales for government employees.

Way Forward: Follow the steps detailed EXACTLY to achieve the desired results.

1. Execute the PROGRAM FOR WAGE TYPE VALUATION by using transaction ZHRUT0017 in order to evaluate wage types individually;

i. 1947 (Medical Allow 15% (16-22)), ii. 1948 (Adhoc Allowance 2010@ 50%),

iii. 1970 (Adhoc Relief Allow 2011 @ 15%)

based on the 2008 Pay Scales. User manual attached for guidance in annex A.

2. Execute PAYSCALE RECLASSIFICATION PROGRAM by using transaction

ZHR_RECLASS_PAYSCALE in order to change the Pay Scale Area from ‘Y8’ to ‘11’ (BPS for 2011), in Basic Pay Infotype 0008. User Manual attached for guidance in annex B.

3. Execute PROGRAM FOR MASS CHANGES IN INFOTYPE 14 (user manual attached for guidance in annex C) by using the transaction ZINF14_CHANGE in order to;

i. delimit and create wage types from 01.07.2011; a. 1210 (Convey Allowance 2005), b. 1833 (Integrated Allwnce (2005)) c. 1530 (Hill Allowance), d. 1969 (Hill All-Balochistan).

ii. delimit wage types which will be discontinued from 01.07.2011 onwards

including; a. 1770 (Spl.Additional allowance), b. 1830 (Special Relief All(2005)), c. 1831 (Adhoc Relief (2005)), d. 1864 (Dearnes Allowance (2006)), e. 1872 (Dearnes Allowance-EEGRP09), f. 1908 (Adhoc Relief-2009 (01-16)), and g. 1909 (Adhoc Relief-2009 (17-22)).

iii. create wage types which are permissible to new entrants, meaning those employees whose date of joining/new hiring is 01.07.2011;

a. 1971 (Adhoc Allowance 2011@ 15%), b. 1973 (Adhoc Allowance 2011@ 50%) and c. 1974 (Medical Allowance 2011).

NOTE: PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE DIRECTIONS GIVEN IN THE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS, ESPECIALLY THE DATES. ALWAYS TEST YOUR PRGRAM CRITERIA ON A SMALL GROUP OF EMPLOYEES AND VERIFY THE RESULTS BEFORE PROCESSING REST OF THE DATA. ALWAYS BREAK DOWN YOUR WORK INTO BATCHES (NOT MORE THAN 5000 PERSONNEL NUMBERS) AND PROCESS ALL THE PROGRAMS IN BACKGROUND MODE. YOUR FIRST CONTACT FOR SUPPORT IN THIS PROCESS IS AG’s RESOURCE PERSON (HR). BACKEND SUPPORT SHALL BE GIVEN BY SAP CC CONSULTANTS.

Process Overview

This Program is used to valuate wage type as per given percentage in selection screen, system evaluate base wage types and update amount in valuated wage type in Recur. Payments/Deds Info-Type. System will evaluate wage type (0001) & (0046) in info type 0008 on running Basic Pay of Previous Pay scale (P1Y8), and update in respective valuated wage type. E.g Adhoc relief allowance 2011@15% on running Basic Pay of Pay scale 2008 (P1Y8). Will be calculated as per given percentage. While for Contractual Employees (9) who’s entitled for normal grade cadre& Personal

Pay, Then Base Wage will be (0049) & (0046).

Note 1. If Payscale Reclassification Program (ZHR_RECLASS_PAYSCALE) for P1-11 has not

executed Then end Date Will Be (31.12.9999)

2. If Pay scale Reclassification Program (ZHR_RECLASS_PAYSCALE) for P1-11 has been

executed Then end Date Will Be (30.06.2011)

Process Steps

Verify that the control record is not in released mode (released for payroll).

Adjust Control Record on “Release for Correction” with application Date in which wage

type would be valuated.

The defined fields are as following

Basic Pay End Date Enter Basic Pay End Date (31.12.9999)

Base Wage Type Enter Base Wage Type E.G (0001& 0046)

Percentage Enter Percentage as per rules e.g. 15%

Valuation Wage Type Enter Valuation Wage Type (Adhoc Relief@2011(1970)

Wage Type Start Date Enter Wage Type Start Date e.g.(01.07.2011)

Test Check Test Run to Check valuation Wage type (1970)

Session Name Enter Session Name

Enter Base Wage types Codes, on which you want to valuate desired wage type.

1. Process Overview

The purpose of this process is to update existing Pay Scale Structure with new Pay scale Area & Pay scale type according given inputs and specifications Old records will be delimited and new one with effective date is created in basic pay info type. So basic pay is updated according new pay scale structure. Employees selected in selection screen are updated through this.

2. Process Steps:

Verify that the control record is not in released mode (released for payroll) but at status

“Release for Correction”.

1. Process Overview

The Zinf14_change program is used to make changes in Info-Type 14 i.e. Recurring

payments and deduction on a mass level. This manual guides you to adjustment

process and program execution in SAP platform.

2. Process Steps

i. Verify that the control record should not be in released mode.
