Building Possibilities Jim McDonald was inspired to become a Journeryperson Electrician by the other half of McDonald Bros Electric Ltd. in Inuvik – his brother Ken. One day Jim had the opportunity to work with Ken and the rest is history.

Now, Jim is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the business and has the opportunity to pass on his skills by mentoring others to receive their certification in the trade, such as Peter Cardinal and Kendall McDonald.

A career in the trades helped to build Jim, his partnership with his brother, and all of possibilities he has been able to pass on to his employees.

Jim knows that trades are “a stepping stone to the future”.
