A Texas Tech University Student Government Campaign,
as BOLD as Texas
Presidential Candidate Tyler Patton set out to create a strong campaign.
He needed strong running mates, endorsed candidates, staff &
a strong social media strategy.
He recruited Elizabeth Custy to lead his strategy. Together they created a
victorious campaign.
They used their 27 endorsed senate candidates to create buzz,
awareness & promote.
They used their blog, mysga.com, to keep potential voters updated
& posted unique content to make viewers feel part of the campaign.
Facebook consumed the main conversation strategy,
it included: landing pages, fact Fridays, Q-&-As, photo albums,
biographies
&
crisis communication actions.
The candidate debate was streamed live on Twitter & USTREAM.
They engaged & created an experience for their potential voters
through
a competition to gain the most liked poster between endorsed candidates,
the winning candidate was featured as the profile picture for the Patton,
Uryasz & Moore Facebook page.
They created a Text Message Reminder System which was embedded into Facebook.
QR Codes were incorporated on their posters to drive traffic to mysga.com.
