DIRECTIONS 

Using preferred slightly stretchy cast-on method, CO 107(125) sts.

Bottom Edge 

Row 1 (RS): Sl1, p1, work [k1, p1] ribbing to end of row, ending k1.

Row 2 (WS): Sl1, work in ribbing to end of row.

Rep these 2 rows another 2 times, for 6 rows of ribbing.

Pattern Set-up 

Row 1 (RS): Sl1, p1, k1, p1. K1, m1, k1. K to 4 sts from end of row, [p1,

k1] twice. [1 st inc, 108(126) sts total.]

Row 2 (WS): Sl1, k1, p1, k1, p to 4 sts from end of row, [k1, p1]

twice.

Row 3: Sl1, p1, k1, p1. K to 4 sts from end of row, [p1, k1] twice.

Row 4: Sl1, k1, p1, k1, p to 4 sts from end of row, [k1, p1] twice.

Blanket Pattern 

Row 1 (RS): Sl1, p1, k1, p1, k3. [K1, p3] 11(13) times. K 6(8) sts. [p3,

k1] 11(13) times. K3. [p1, k1] twice.

Row 2 (WS): Sl1, work all rem sts as they appear.

Row 3: Sl1, p1, k1, p1. K to 4 sts from end of row, [p1, k1] twice.

Row 4: Sl1, work all rem sts as they appear.

Rows 5 & 6: Repeat Rows 3 & 4.

(As desired, use stitch markers to note pattern repeats).

Repeat these last 6 rows another 10(12) times, then work Rows 1-2

once more. Blanket measures approximately 25(29) ins in length.

(Establishes 2 panels of textured stitch pattern, with ribbing at

each edge of blanket).

Next Row (RS): Sl1, p1, k1, p1. K to 4 sts from end of row, [p1, k1]

twice.

Next Row (WS): Sl1, work all rem sts as they appear.

Rep these last 2 rows another 4(5) times. (Creates 10(12) rows of

plain knitting, with ribbing continuing at each edge).

Next, resume Blanket Pattern Rows 1-6 as established above to

work the 6-row pattern a total of 11(13) times, then work Rows 1-2

once more. Blanket measures approximately 53(61) ins in length.

Next Row (RS): Sl1, p1, k1, p1. K to 4 sts from end of row, [p1, k1]

twice.

Next Row (WS): Sl1, k1, p1, k1, p to 4 sts from end of row, [k1, p1]

twice

Rep these 2 rows once more.

Top Edge 

Row 1 (RS): Sl1, p1, k2tog. [p1, k1] to end of row. [1 st dec. 107(125)

sts.]

Row 2 (WS):  Sl1, work in ribbing to end of row.

Rep these 2 rows another 2 times, for 6 rows of ribbing.

Finishing 

Weave in any remaining ends.

Wash finished blanket according to fiber content/yarn label

instructions. Squeeze dry over a basin and/or wrapped inside of

several towels to remove water as well as possible. Lay flat to dry.
